Very quick to solve the puzzles, but it had a very interesting story.
The entire thing took 18 minutes, and I guess its never going to go anywhere, I guess thats why they name the game that. There's a total of 2 puzzles, and the story is so short its might at well not exist. Even though its free, I still can't recommend it, cause really what is there to recommend, but disappointment. What never was? This game thats what.

Now this is what you call a prologue, I will definately play the second chapter when it drops. Amazing story.
I can't wait for the release of part two, this is awesome
Cute quick little game good story
Very brief, felt like a demo rather than a full game. But hey, free, full controller support, easy little breather. Can be finished in 15 mins (played twice for 2 missables). Easy 6/6 steam achievements. Perfect quick completionist fix!
It is a very short (30 minutes if inspecting everything) but very well made game. I would buy a (longer) continuation if you ever released one, hopefully with a gamma-setting.
Petit jeu de puzzle intéressant, hâte de voir une suite
What Never Was is that kind of game that gently pulls you in and then hits you right in the feelings. You start exploring, thinking it’s just a calm little story and suddenly you’re piecing together memories, secrets and emotional moments you weren’t ready for. Yes, it's short, but also surprisingly powerful like a soft punch to the heart.
