A desk investigation game set in a fictional 1970 communist state. Every morning, a new evidence bag arrives. Intercepted letters, coded messages, wiretap recordings. Somewhere in that paper trail is a network of names. Cross-reference. Decipher. Identify. Then decide what to do with what you know.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 29 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome, Aleksey!
Your application has been approved. We trust that you will prove yourself worthy of your new position as a junior cryptology analyst. This is not just a job. This is Service to the Motherland! The OKO Cipher Bureau is counting on you! Our whole nation is counting on you!
Each day, new evidence will arrive at your desk. Inside, you will find photographs, intercepted correspondence and wiretapes. From seemingly unrelated details, you must draw conclusions: who is who, which name belongs to which face, and what alias hides behind each person.
Show them no mercy. They are subversive elements who, for reasons unknown, continue to undermine the achievements of our Republic!
Stay vigilant: no one here will hold your hand. Every piece of information may prove equally important, and your role is to decrypt, analyze, and ultimately expose the enemies of the nation!
Every document is a piece of a larger puzzle. Photographs do not come with names, and the aliases described in reports are not directly connected to any faces. Some documents only begin to make sense several days later. Your task is to connect these clues and uncover who is really pulling the strings within the Opposition - and why.
Your desk is the center of the investigation. Evidence can be freely rotated, flipped over, examined, and interacted with - whether that means lighting a cigarette, handling documents, or rewinding magnetic tapes as many times as you need.
Intercepted correspondence never reveals everything directly. You will learn to operate special decoding machines that make evidence analysis easier - but never obvious.

I am definitly having a good time plying the game. Although I do not usually decide to play detective games this one had my interest. I wasn't wrong to try it. You always feel like you are on the verge of finding the correct solution. I always found myself unsure if I should already know who is who or am I still missing a piece of this puzzle? To me that seems like a very good thing in a detective game: Do I have the right guy? The setting is also interesting. One of my first thoughts was that it reminds me of 1989 by Orwell. From the very begining you are aware that the goverment is censoring things and hiding them from their citizens. The investigated organization seems to be trying to hold on to their freedoms. In a way at least at the start you have not found any wrongdoing on the part of the suspects. You are not only searching for the suspects, you are also trying to figure out why the goverment wants to stop them. You find yourself torn about solving the case and throwing potentialy harmeless people to the "justice" system of an opppressive country. TLDR: Good detective game Note: Review subject to change upon completion of the game.

I enjoyed this a lot for the 3 obsessive evenings spent behind the desk. It's not a huge story about twists and turns of a spy thriller but about the crushing feeling people under repressive systems might go through. These people have already been hurt over decades and you are tasked with pointing the aim at their last resort for justice. The contradiction between the morality of your actions and the addicting gameplay of finding out who the people are has a bittersweet feel to it. I was expecting more from the cryptography but perhaps more math would have distracted from the narratives. Everything feels difficult at first but I was able to finish the game without getting fired on my first run. I hope the developer makes another game, maybe continue the story from the other side.
this is a bad and buggy version of the roottrees are dead. Seriously disappointed.
What Awaits, Aleksey is a great game if you like to think and be a proper detective, though it might be a bit difficult for some people as the game doesn't do any hand holding, You have to figure out everything yourself, which I really like about this game. The style/graphics is also really nice to look at theres a lot of attention to detail, music fits really well into the game too. Overall great game :)
Really great game with detective/dystopian vibe. Runs smoothly on potato pc. You need to really use your brain cells and i like it. It's not just an entertainment, but more.
