Reviews

The game is...ok. This is the perspective of someone who played solo Pros: -Atmosphere is very oppressive. There's decent ambiance and it keeps you on edge. -Visually it looks great. I don't know how much heavy lifting the unreal engine is doing but it does look nice. -The western style is great. -The monsters are pretty creepy Cons: -Brutally difficult leaning into unfair. Monsters can just appear on the other side of doors with no warning and kill you. -One shots aren't super fun -while the map itself feels full of stuff, a lot the buildings feel empty. I will give it a thumbs only with the expectation that it gets more updates. https://youtu.be/KYu4_zR-CfQ
Westfall is a game that immediately caught my attention as a fan of challenging co-op horror experiences like Lethal Company and Phasmophobia. Here’s my honest review after several intense sessions: What I Loved: - The difficulty level is genuinely refreshing. Westfall doesn’t hold your hand, and every run feels like a real test of teamwork and nerves. It’s rare these days to find a game where survival feels truly earned. - The graphics are impressive for an indie title. The environments are detailed and atmospheric, drawing you into its bleak Wild West world. - The oppressive atmosphere is masterfully done. There were moments when I was genuinely scared to move forward, which is exactly what I want from a horror game. - The game has massive potential. You can see the foundation for something truly special here, and I’m excited to see how it evolves with future updates. - The price is very reasonable for what’s on offer, making it accessible to a wide range of players. Areas That Need Improvement: - There’s only one map right now. While it’s large, it gets repetitive quickly. More maps would add much-needed variety. - You feel almost completely defenseless against enemies. The “remain silent” mechanic is unreliable and doesn’t guarantee your safety. - After dying, enemies tend to camp your body, making revives nearly impossible and discouraging team play. - Item prices in the shop are way too high compared to the loot you can actually collect. This makes progression feel grindy and unrewarding. - Sometimes an enemy will sit right in front of the train door and refuse to leave, making it impossible to continue the run. - There’s no proper microphone or audio settings, which can be frustrating for coordinating with your team. - The control system needs work—there isn’t even a “drop item” button, which is basic functionality in this genre. - There’s no real tutorial, so new players are left guessing about the mechanics and objectives. Final Thoughts: I want to be clear: my intention isn’t to bash Westfall, but to highlight the areas that need attention for it to reach its full potential. The foundation is solid, and with more content, quality-of-life improvements, and some balancing, Westfall could become a standout title in the co-op horror genre. I’m rooting for the devs and looking forward to seeing where this game goes!
GAME HAS POTENTIAL HOWEVER IT FALLS SHORT IN MANY PLACES, LIKE CONTENT. THERE IS A GOOD BASE HERE, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS GREAT AND SOME OF THE JUMPSCARES WERE PRETTY GOOD, HOWEVER THE GAMEPLAY FALLS SHORT.
the graphics environment is amazing. the object, monsters, grass movement are nice. but the gameplay is too hard for me. i can only reach 190 money in 3 days. i tried to open some doors with Dynamite Detonator and Keys but only lead to the same room that actually we can go there from another route. ghost are too powerfull, one hit kill, its fast too, we wont stand any chance to ghost, there is bomb for ghost that cost 800 money, but our starting money only 800. maybe there are some tricks to finish this game but i still dont know it.
GOTY for sure, my great grandad did something he shouldn't have done!!
piece of ♥♥♥♥
this is kinda ball ngl
Igen én is egyedül próbáltam ki a játékot, gyanítom co-opban azért könnyebb lehet a túlélés, köszönöm a fejlesztőnek a steam kulcsot :)
