Western 1849 Reloaded is a western "on-rails shooter", cartoon style, little game. You can take cover & move between 3/4 different spots whilst shoot bad guys, across up to 5 maps. Until here nothing new, but what is very cool its perks system & how its works, giving the game high re-playability. As you kill bandits you will earn gold, which will be used to buy equipment and improve your weapons. Weapons? you'll find the 3 classic weapons of Old West: revolver, shotgun & rifle, besides explosives. THE GOOD: - Nice cartoon art style & funny in-game sounds. - Well designed levels. - Solid designed mechanics which include player progression, equipment, perks & upgrades. - Good difficulty level (from easy to insane), well balanced. - As I said before perks system, which consists of 50 cards, most of which you have to unlock, makes replaying game much more enjoyable as the gameplay changes quite a bit depending on which cards you get (you get one after clean every enemy wave) - RAGE mode is fun. - Cheap game at full price. THE BAD: - Short. - Gameplay can become very repetitive quickly. THE UGLY: - Only five levels, and you have to go through them again and again as you progress. Having played some games of the genre, I would say that in terms of price and quality this is one of best games available, although it's quite short. - Juego barato a precio regular.
Excellent game for competing with your friends for High Scores or just having fun shooting things in the face. Controls: Solid, aiming is crisp and responsive and hit detection is top notch. Getting the right angle on enemies can be annoying but that's part of the strategy. Story: You're a cowboy and they're bad guys, pew pew pew pew pew pew pew Mechanics: Excellent rogue like mechanics that allow you to create a build based on the cards you choose each time you complete a wave. Each playthrough can lead to many different strategies based on the cards picked. Very fun to create strong builds. Closing: Game could use more levels/Enemy types but what game isn't better with more? It was very fun to play and at 5 dollars, it's a steal. If you like competing with your friends for high scores, even better.
I feel like I've seen everything there is to see after 30 minutes. The bandits keep saying 'I ain't afraid of no greenhorn' to the point that it's annoying, the mouse controls aren't very smooth regardless of sensitivity settings (in game or windows), it feels arbitrary whether the enemy hit you or not and I suspect you simply have to grind gold to do well. It looks very much like a tablet game ported without much effort to computers.
If you like to shoot bad guys in a old school arcade shooter gallery style... a lot of good fun to be had with this title. Can be grindy if you want to unlock all the best weapons and goodies and getting that hardest difficulty achievement might be out of reach for all but the sharpest of gunslingers but that's how it goes in this old west tale.
Хороший тир, можно немного убить в нём время.
very good simple 3rd person shooting-gallery game in the Wild West with cartoon graphic from polish developer Nawia Games, it is worth the price want to be a gunslinger? you can :-)
Western 1849 Reloaded plays like a free mobile game and it should stay as what it is. The most annoying thing to me is that when you shooting enemies at one side, you have no way to view or know the opposite side having how many enemies already aiming or try shooting at you as the idiot fixed camera view angle limits. Player are allowed view around 150 degree field in front of you only and complete moving from one side to another take 3 - 4 slow paced moving steps which used around 6 to 8 seconds, means the original corner you've moved away is already getting new enemies re-spawn. It cause a dead loop which can only solved by absorb all these damage by upgrading your equipment and perks to survive. And this upgrade progress is too grindy as a normal free mobile game. Another problem is the game try to put something new in the upgrade path but turns out it didn't enrich the game formula at all, you are forced to use the same revolver as main weapon and rifle / shotgun is limited to under 10 ammo which rarely being useful. Shot rate of revolver is slow already and reload take 5 second if you failed to hit perfect reload, makes the gun fight unnecessary slowed down. No boss battle and every round ends suddenly when re-spawn is finished also make it more monotonous. I can't afford it to the end due to too boring after finished first 3 difficulty levels.
I bought this on the cheap with no expectations whatsoever. Then started playing it and it quickly felt like these shooting booths at fairgrounds where you can shoot cans, the parrot in its cage, or the butt of that piano guy to make him play his little tune. Minutes later I found myself shooting and reloading like a possessed Wyatt Earp! Before long, you realize that THIS is what a real gunfight should feel like! And not many games out-there (if any) are giving us that sensation! Solid, fun, addictive, and easy to dive-in! ...An absolute MUST in your games collection!!
Fun little game. Player starts from Rookie level with 2 maps shooting at sitting-duck enemies, all the way to hero level with 5 maps, tough enemies that won't go down even for a headshot from the pistol. Each map has 2-3 waves, enemies always respawn at the same location, those hide are marked with a white exclamation point and for those who stand out to shoot, it turns red. Player need to move left or right, otherwise some enemies are out of range. Staying behind bars is not safe for both sides as no cover to full body, a health bar displays at lower left, the best strategy is to clear those radicals first, then to those that remain hidden. Game is a simple test of good timing, precise and strategy, also keep moving left or right so you have a good idea of where the enemies are. In rage mode player can keep shooting without waiting time between two bullets, making good use of that. Reload time is essential, guns can run out of ammo fast, there are permanent buffs to collect after each wave, some can be helpful like blasting ammo, perfect reloading and life leech, within the right good buff beating the game is easy. The difficulty feels well balanced, earning money from each run to upgrade weapons and earn new slots for equipment. I had some relaxing time playing.
