Got to talk with the Devs at Gamescom 2025 and was immediately convinced. Love the Depth of content.
Game is available in multiple languages. Primary Language is German. English Localization is fine for the most part, with a few missed words here and there, but he's fixing it (as of October 2025) The game is Early Access, so there are still a few bugs floating about, but the dev is working overtime to fix them, usually within days of reporting. There's a lot of love that went into this game, and you can feel it. He's very engaging with his community and communicates everything clearly, from successes to challenges. Content-wise, you can get a good 15-20 hours out of the game right now on average in one play"through" (it's open ended, but you can consider yourself "done" when you've built a mega-factory for yourself) The game is actively being developed and new content will be added after initial bugfixes and QoL-improvements. Dev likes to listen to suggestions and has an open door, open ear-policy for everyone. Gameplay-Wise you start out with your own small-arms and munitions-factory, developing and building weapons as contractors demand and finish with your very own tank-production by the end of current content. There are plans to implement Ships, Planes and Drones during development, as well as further small-arms development. That being said, the focus of the game is the Tycoon, so you won't be firing any weapons you develop, nor will you see any battlefields. BUT, you will be able to create them. Battlefields, that is: As a planned feature, you will be able to lobby and influence global politics to start wars to increase prices and demand for your weapons. You will be able to become a corrupt organization that ships weapons to warlords and crime families, or stay on the good side of the law and only ship to freedom-loving, geneva-convention-fearing nations. You will expand your company, take care of logistics and destroy your competition through a mix of aggressive pricing and espionage.
(Kostenloses Exemplar vom Entwickler erhalten – meine Meinung bleibt unbeeinflusst.)
Awesome Game!
I saw this game at the gamescom and was immediately interested ( the mascot was hilarious )! As a oldschool fan of SimCity, Rollercoaster Tycoon and the like, playing the game was a bit like taking a stroll down memory lane. Werner Waffenwerke: Arms Tycoon is a realistic, engaging but also tough economy simulator that doesn't force you to play a specific way to get to your goal: Becoming a huge warlord (state-recognised of course) by constructing your own superiour weapons and lateron tanks.

Selling weapons only the right way - state contracts, collaborative science researches and ammunition trade to your allies - sure!
Selling weapons wherever you want - creating trouble spots and catering both sides, mafia and rogue states need weapons too? - You do you!
Do your actions have consequences? Most likely, but you really want that money badly, so what can you do? You are human after all.
The depth of this simulation is insane, you have a varying price for electricity, for ammunition, you have to plan for fluctuations in contract frequency, you can construct and modulate your buildings: From increasing delivering times to change worker satisfactory. Dont like your politicians because they make you pay taxes? Try to influence them, or get rid of them if you wanna go down that road, it's your choice. Here's hoping you have a good lawyer. The part were you actually earn your money, the construction of arms (handheld weapons and tanks) is just as indepth. You have a huge repertoire of weapon parts, that you can combine for each weapon type, to create your own - and hopefully the best - weapon to sell worldwide! For tanks it gets crazier, as you have even more customisation to your disposal. But the best part is: If you just want to throw some weapon parts together and try to build the best Assault Rifle possible or build a cool factorysite without the pressure of earning money, you can totally do that aswell - Sandbox mode! The dev is doing all of this on his own, and as i spoke to him a bit at the gamescom, he really has a passion for this project. And it really shows - He is working hard to fix all the bugs that the players find and report on the discord and has implemented several suggestings already, like QOL or GUI improvements. Sure, there is still content missing (there is a roadmap somewhere i think), and especially the non-german localisations can be quite wonky or at some points missing, but the dev is also working on that front, so it will get better over time, i'm pretty sure. Overall, if you like simulations, or constructing weapons and tanks, or just living out a little bit of corporate megalomania, this game is definetively something you should try out!
Hier ensteht ein Meisterwerk
An interesting game so far, but English localization is a bit lacking. It does exist, but a number of words are left untranslated from German which can pose a few challenges
The game is great and works really well for firearm and military enthusiasts. It’s very detailed yet fundamentally simple in its design. The complexity of the game comes from the fact that it offers a lot of options and possibilities, so at times the amount of text and Excel-style tables seems to go beyond human comprehension. I sometimes think the creator wanted to show us too much, adding excessive realism to what is essentially a simple form of entertainment. However, for me, that’s a plus, and if you enjoy games that are complex in concept and especially like designing things, you definitely won’t regret the money spent. The game doesn’t have any major issues, but it’s still unfinished in some minor aspects, and many things haven’t been translated from German yet… such as the title, for instance.
