Welcome to Doll Town

The trailer had me. The game didn't. Annoying camera, rushed gameplay, forgettable bosses, and a flat story. The town feels empty and the price doesn't match what's delivered. A clear gap between what was promised and what was shipped.

I refunded this game after only playing it for maybe 15-30 minutes. This game is not good. Hard to navigate, foggy asf, and I got soft locked on the keypad part. Not to mention I was streaming on my first play through. The dev hasn’t posted anything regarding any updates on social media about this game so I doubt anything will get fixed. I cannot in my good conscience recommend this game.

Just finished the full release. I'm real late to the party (especially considering I bought dlc to help back the game), but I want to give some honest feedback. The game needs more to make it feel like a full experience. I know there is an announcement to address most issues I had (bugs, more enemies and bosses), but one of the biggest ones I have still is the story. Our protagonist serves more as a vehicle for the plot then actually moving it along. If she could have more agency and purpose it would make things much better. Also the fact that the choices at the end of the game don't change the ending (Reina). I want to enjoy this game more as I see the vision and potential, but at this point in time it left me feeling more disappointed than anything. Once the update is finished I will try it again, but for now I can't recommend playing.

The game crashes constantly, it is sometimes boring as well and some of the dialogue makes no sense, the battles are too short and not many, the map is tiny, the game lags too much and the foggy ambience just makes everything look white and strange, I would not recommend this game to anybody who gets tired of crashes easily.

[h2] Меня прогрели, как последнего гоя… [/h2] Мне продавали историю про «психологический хоррор с глубоким лором», а по факту всучили полуторачасовую экскурсию по дешёвым декорациям, где, cyкa, даже самый обычный скайбокс умудрились не вставить. Ты бродишь по локациям, которые вроде как должны тебя вайбить, но вместо этого вызывают лишь один вопрос: почему так плохо, даже со стилизацией PS1? Драки с манекенами ощущаются так, словно ты лупишь по матрасу ладошкой: ни веса, ни удара, ни нормального звука. Весь экшен сводится к закликиванию одной кнопки, кто первый бить начал, тот и победил. ИИ противников я бы даже не стал называть таковым, ибо это было бы оскорблением искусственного интеллекта в целом. Зато, когда тебя убивает моб, над твоим трупом танцуют Gangnam Style. Игроки, че с eбaлoм? Весело же, че вы там, кстати, все глубокие темы исследовали уже в игре? Тем временем, сюжет пытается жонглировать темами буллинга, сyuцuдa и трагической любви с таким же изяществом, с каким я перебираю свои яйца в кармане. Серьёзные темы соседствуют с тупейшими гэгами. Вот только что нам показали *это самое* школьницу, а через минуту твой персонаж отплясывает макарену или ловит прикол с отсылки на персону. Ну такое, если честно, еще и сценарий весь рванный какой-то, последующая сцена забывает для чего нужна была предыдущая. Я сперва было подумал, что это, может быть, метаирония от разработчика такая, чтобы игрок мог посмеяться с глупости происходящего. Но потом меня озарило. Так и есть, но есть нюанс, разработчик всего-то решил поугорать над игроками и просто-напросто прогрел их на бабки с минимальными усилиями. Перед нами дешёвая поделка, которая паразитирует на ностальгии по эстетике PS1, забывая, что в тех играх был хоть какой-то геймплей и уважение к игроку. Если так хотите потратить деньги с тем же успехом, купите лотерейный билет, там хоть шанс есть какой-нибудь. Не рекомендовал бы, даже если игра была бы Free-to-Play.

Soo...i seen the first clips of this game back in 2023 and got already hooked! Its understandable that a solo dev took 3 years to create this. i was originally waiting till most of the bugs get fixed to play this but now i wish i played it sooner! i really dont get the hate of this game. I really enjoyed it, it's worth the money. You have to count in its a unique game and made from one small dev. It's already impressive that it only took 3 years to make! and honestly..asking for 12.79€ is not much. There's a lot of short games out there that offer a lot less, terrible story and not any original story with the same price. A unique Story about the fathers love and love between two lesbians who weren't accepted in the society. Not to think of that Mio is a doll now, getting bullied for that as well even though her original death made the father obsessed getting his daughter back as a living doll, she didn't choose this life. He lost two important people in his life that he just couldn't cope with the death of Mio. Since the town has the sad secret about Mio and Tsumugi. the sad tragedy of Mio's and Tsumugis death; Mio driven to $uicid3 from the bullies, the principal, and Tsumugis death caused by the three girls. Its an extremely dark and eerie story. I like the fact that you play all povs, not like the review says that you barely play the girl shown in the pictures and trailers (Yumi), you actually play her half of the game. She is only there to discover the dark secret of the doll town with the help of Frangin. Obvioously you play as Mio and Tsumugi as well since the story is about them. The camera movements could use a bit of improvement and i encountered two bugs, but not more than that. Since we know they are already working on the fixes. The hate about the usage of AI is normal in this time of day, in any game there is usage of AI. It never goes without, especially as a solo dev who wanted to deliver something on his own.

Honestly the story was not what I expected, I bought this because of the dolls, I'm a pro bjd artist. So I love games with doll aesthetics. BUT I still think its a pretty good game. I love the style of the game. Despite the story being dark it was really good. Sometimes the camera angles were a little wonky in the school. I did love the spy music for the cat scene! Hope to see more from the dev!

First glance: Looks interessting. Playing: Clearly pre alfa, why would anyone release it... Finishing and looking at the long list of 'backers': A'ha thats why the released this 'game'.

Fun short game. I am not dissapointed with it for the cost. Would have loved to see more time the MC and wearing cute outfits. I enjoyed all the easter eggs scattered around, and the darker story aspects I found enjoyable even though the characters could all have used some more time to shine in the narritive. Hope I get to say "Welcome back to Doll Town", someday

难以绷得住，从头到尾算上和小怪的战斗一共就五场，机翻甚至没法看。不要看了宣传片里的视频乍一眼觉得还不错，仿3ds机能限制的低多边形复古风格的确很戳人，但玩了才是知道是真的诈骗游戏，实际上作者就搞不懂自己的游戏基调到底是什么，开始以为是类似于寂静岭的日式解密恐怖游戏，莫名奇妙的美少女八角笼格斗又让人思考会不会是什么套着恐怖游戏外皮的黑色幽默，要么直接走恶搞风要么走反讽风，但都不是，只有一段让人摸不着头脑的蕾丝边霸凌剧情，人物行动毫无逻辑故事情节为惨而惨，狗屎剧本根本就不能掀起心中的一点涟漪就导致游戏开场强行植入的反自杀宣言显得是那么的做作。所有除了mio的角色剧情都是在走流水账，唯一的作用就是拖着你不要赶紧通关退款，我真的不理解游戏一共就他妈一个半小时流程你安排一只猫跑半个小时迷宫的意义何在？不如叫你无聊镇得了。封面，2d icon，动漫壁纸贴图以及音乐，可能除了这些其他其他素材都是ai生成。别以为是啥寂静岭的精神续作，他就是一托用真空铝箔纸包装的史，奇异搞笑。
