From the independent studio that brought you Contrast, We Happy Few is an action/adventure game set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England. Hide, fight and conform your way out of this delusional, Joy-obsessed world.

inaccurate, england does not have this level of freedom and youd never catch anybody dead showing anybody experiencing any level of joy in england nor wearing any colour outside of varying levels of miserable grey
The way game mechanics work in practice ruined the experience for me. Areas that you explore are mostly randomly generated. Often this creates some absurd-looking rows of city dwellings with absolutely nothing on the other side of them. I would actually be happy if this game turned out to be a walking simulator, or a standard linear action-adventure. Ultimately after reaching act II, I abandoned the game and I don't plan on ever coming back to it.
Could be better

Could be worse
Bioshock meets Atomfall
Persistent NPCs and loot + constantly hostile world
You have to make it through several islands, keeping in mind the need in sleep, water, food, meds, and many other things. There are dozens of side quests, infected mutants, people affected by meds and shrooms, guards, police, doctors, robots, and I can continue. You can rob houses and make them somewhat safe You can either kill everyone (and they will stay and rot in place) Or you can knock them out and they will eventually wake up Everything is surreal, a parody, a joke, and a very sad satory underneath. Literally dozens or hundreds of survival hours in dystopian Britain.
The concept of the story is fantastic, but the game is unfortunately boring. Combat is hit, block, and shove over and over. The quests are 'fetch this thing to make progress'. The looting is 2 second animations for each coinbox. There is very little that isn't dull to do in this game.
i feel like this game is supposed to scratch a certain itch which i do not have. for me the gameplay is not particularly engaging and can become pretty mind-numbing. the plot seemed sort of interesting but never really took off. always seemed like it was about to get good but then made you wait and then eventually it ended. i think americans will probably find this game more interesting than brits, particularly if they have never been to the uk. as a brit, the characters all came off as nothing special, and sort of obnoxious. rarely got so much as a chuckle out of me. not to say that it never did though. shame since i wanted this game to be good. i bought it 75% off, would say it was not really worth it. god have mercy on anyone who buys it at full price.
Too long, too many side quests which often seem pointless. NPCs are very hostile and their mob mentality is annoying. Do they ALL really have to go after you or could the police be enough? The game is visually pleasing but that's about it. Not very interesting all-in-all.
No geral, recomendo bastante <3
This game is quite buggy, but it's a really cool game despite that. Not worth full price, but on discount it is
played on xbox one x and series xand ps4 pro and pc completed it been longtime fan please guys make a second game i love it
If you can get through the absolutely horrible survival mechanics, repetitive open world, and super sloppy combat, there is a story in there. Unfortunately for me, that was a big IF. Played 5 hours of it and it felt like such a chore, the combat and tedious portions draw you out of the story and the technical issues with the NPCs make the maps feel empty. Honestly I am glad that I waited this long to play this game at a huge discount. Was such a let down for me.
