I loved how you must have the proper caliber in the rifle with the appropriate ammunition to be successful overall.
If you have ever gone hunting in real life—and I mean outside, not on someone’s overpriced ranch, but out in the wilderness way off the beaten path—then this game is as close as it gets. If your idea of a good time is walking endless terrain, trekking up and down hills, and then slowly crawling for "three business days" only to have the animal bolt when you weren't even close, then this is the game for you. It makes other hunting titles feel like Minecraft. The sound and video quality are top-notch. The inclusion of ATVs is a great touch; I can’t afford one in real life, so it’s a blast just driving around the map. Plus, if you put the game on "Easy Mode," you can even drive right up to the animals. The developers used real-world calibers and firearms, and the environment perfectly mimics the great outdoors—from that annoying sunrise hitting you right in the face to the mosquitoes and deer flies buzzing around. They even nailed the small details, like birds giving away your position or hearing an animal nearby but not being able to see where the hell it is. For those who want an emotional hook, there are story modes—about a kid visiting his grandpa or some other mushy plot for people who need a "reason" to hunt. Personally, I can’t relate, but you can skip all that as soon as you finish basic training and jump straight into the good stuff.

Un excellent jeu pour un "premier jet". (Le 2 est dispo en démo et bien que loin d'être fini, promet d'être très bon, puisque reprenant les points forts du 1 et comblant tout ou partie de ses lacunes). Le 1, donc, au niveau des + -les graphismes sont super sympas et tournent encore bien sur une GTX1080 cappée à 60FPS -les équipements sont tous sous licence -la balistique, avec des traçantes, un vrai point zéro, des joules exprimées -le système de gestion de chaque troupeau/meute/herde/etc, comporte un nombre d'individus qui maturent avec le temps et ont un patrimoine génétique. Au joueur de ne pas massacrer les femelles et de pratiquer l' eugénismHeu "prélever" les brebis galleuses pour que la fournée suivante produise de meilleurs trophées. Maintenant, les - : -Souvent comparé à son concurrent direct et mis en avant comme plus réaliste, je voudrais nuancer le propos à ce sujet: si WOTH est plus réaliste sur pas mal d'aspects, il a aussi certaines mécaniques de jeu simplifiées comparées à l'autre (où contrairement à WOTH on a la possibilité de masquer son odeur, bruits émis différents selon la végétation, variété d'armes, d'équipements, de cartes, et petit détail: dans WOTH aucune interaction entre les espèces, là où l'autre permet de voir une proie fuir à toutes pattes avec un prédateur aux fesses. C'est un petit rien, mais dans les heures contemplatives que pose ce type de jeux, c'est le genre de détails qui font la différence entre un sentiment de monde vivant ou pas. (Espérons que le 2 corrige le tir ;) - Même critique pour les dommages aux véhicules, mine de rien, dans WOTH ils sont incassables. Résultat: vous ferez des back flips à 120kmh et 30m de haut en SSV. Réaliste? Vraiment? Alors qu'une jauge de dommages ajoute une petite gestion de la tension dans les moments d'exploration, en effet, on fait en sorte de pas broyer la machine avant d'avoir au moins débloqué le spawn suivant. Encore un détail, mais l'autre le fait. - Le 1 a quelques DLCs, quelques maps, mais est un peu laissé en plan brutalement pour bosser sur sa suite, a priori pour une version du moteur de jeu permettant plus de liberté technique. Soit... En résumé: super jeu dans l'ensemble, scénars sympas à jouer, cartes excellentes, il apporte sa pierre à l'édifice et ses propres innovations au tout petit monde des jeux de chasse, avec une belle immersion... Mais le raisonnement de dire que celui-ci concentre la qualité là où son concurrent plus ancien fait dans la quantité, est pour moi un raccourci souvent entendu qui manque de nuance, ce qui ne rend pas justice à chacun d'eux. En 2026, le 1 s'achête encore pour 3 raisons: lors d'une MAXI promo, parce qu'on a une carte graphique un poil "roots", et pour s'occuper un paquet d'heures en attendant le 2...

Due to graphical bugs across multiple PCs Ive had since this game came out and no replies to my support tickets my experience has been horrible and I will not be playing this game or the second installment For $6 it might be worth trying especially as the gameplay and features are pretty good
