Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Lose yourself in an emotional, uplifting narrative about community, musical mysteries and underdog spirit. Help endearing and indecisive customers find their perfect records while debating all things music with your loveable colleagues. It's your job to help Repeater Records find its rhythm again!
From customer requests to store shenanigans, you’ll dive into a variety of cozy puzzles. Decode clues and hunt for the perfect music recommendation by browsing records, scrolling social media, and poring over local music zines. You might even find yourself running the lights for local bands, designing gig posters and packing orders!
Drop the needle on a stacked soundtrack featuring dozens of original tracks spanning across many genres, bands, and eras. Every song is crafted to feel like a nostalgic gem. From grimy basement bangers to dreamy indie deep cuts. It’s a playlist built to loop in your head long after you clock out.
Dig through crates packed with 80+ hand‑drawn albums, lovingly imagined bands, and liner note lore that rewards curiosity. Each record has its own personality, history, and fanbase. Did Scandinavian metal band Jarhead really murder their singer and put his head in a jar? Is it true big shot rapper RXXX used to be a kid's TV presenter? Has anyone ever seen Mimi?
Repeater Records is staffed and frequented by a rotating cast of eccentrics, music nerds, and chaotic regulars. Every character is bursting with personality, quirks, and questionable opinions about what “real music” is. Get to know them and enjoy their banter. They’re the soul of the shop after all!
Patattie Games is the two-person indie punk duo made up of developers; creative doodler Murray Somerwolff (Welcome to Elk, Spitkiss, Dead Pets Unleashed) and creative programmer Rothio Tome (Former UNITY developer support engineer and top Spanish GameDev streamer).

very good game! All the music is so good, my favorite songs are "Misunderstand" by Girl Junk and "The Enemy Within" by Jarhead. Thank you to everyone involved in making this wonderful game!
this game has a lot of dialogue and normally that would bore me but the way the story is told is so catching. I love this game def recommend
I loved everything about it. A precious game, full of love, community. Tackles hard subjects while never getting heavy or hard, just very sweet. Thank you so much for all the people that were a part in the making of this game.

AMAZING game !! A love letter to music, physical medias and arts, and a political pamphlet to everyone ! Yes, capitalism destroys art and independant businesses (as an independant bookseller myself, I'm deeply connected with this topic). I'm also glad that many other topics are discussed in the game, such as AI in art/music ; people finding their true identities and being proud of themselves ; the toxicity of the music industry and fame ; the loss or gain of art inspiration ; family issues / toxic relationships... This game can be finished in ~6h but it's so dense and full, I absolutely loved it. Also, the game's playlist is so good !! I could listen to some songs everyday if they were available on platforms or on a CD/vinyl. Overall, it is very great and I recommand it to everyone who loves music ! Finally, as in the game's credits, I'm sharing some songs that I truly love and which make me feel good and glad whenever I listen to them : Unter diesem Mond - OOMPH! The Great Chinggis Khan - The HU Hush - Muse & Ellie Goulding Farewell Wanderlust - The Amazing Devil
From the very beginning, *Wax Heads* was the perfect game for me: It perfectly captured my love for music, vinyl, and record stores, and combined it with a beautifully written story, great characters, and—above all—a truly fantastic soundtrack. You can feel the developers’ passion and dedication in every aspect of the game. If that doesn’t make you want to support your local store and get more involved in your own community, then there’s no helping you. ;) One of my highlights this year! Period.
This ended up being much more of a visual novel than the management game I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Well-written, fun characters, and it had something to say with a handful of different themes & life lessons. Great music, great art, and the game has this really relaxed and accepting vibe permeating throughout. I had a good timing following the careers of the fictional bands and characters. I really loved the end, where you're introduced to some of the people who developed the game and they give a few of their own personal music recommendations. It was a great personal touch, and really brought home how much of a labor of love this game was. Would definitely recommend!
