May Rob rest in peace, and ♥♥♥♥ cancer. You left behind a legacy that fellow gamers like myself will remember for years. Your spirit will live on. Play this and the first game if you haven't, they are free now. You never know, you may enjoy it. I like twin stick arena shooters, so I definitely will.

RIP develop, okay game. Nobody will read my review so I Will Eat 1 Tablespoon of ketchup For Every Like this gets.
Great game. Very different from the original with many great changes. Hope a lot more gets fixed during the early access phase. Pros: + Huge replay-ability + Beautiful Visuals + Nodes offer great challenge + Lots of smart additions to the original + Challenging arenas Cons: - Same terrible song over and over (worse than all songs from the original) - Audible triggers and queues are tough to distinguish - Loadout section makes no sense at all - Cubes seem nearly impossible to kill now Wish List: - Explanation of the loadout screen - Make killing cubes a bit easier (seems like sure death when one shows up) - More track selection, or allow for custom tracks to be added via music folder like GTA5 - Multiplayer support - Better sense of accomplishment progressing through the grid Overall, this is one of my favorite twin stick shooters now, but I just hope a few of the cons get fixed up in the upcoming patches. Keep up the great work devs!
Not a fan of this genre but it plays really smooth and challenging at the same time. Soundtracks are nice and visuals are pretty and stylized well Rest in peace, Rob. What a great legacy to leave for us! Thanks for the time you've spent on it...
Thank you,Rob Rest in peace.
I didn't know Rob or follow his career. It's obviously very sad that he died and Waves 2 was left as a free game to honour his legacy. It's a good legacy. RIP. Now, speaking objectively, Waves 2 is an unfinished game. It will never be finished. What it stands as is a vision of what could have been. What it could have been is an excellent twin stick shooter and there's enough here to see that vision and enjoy playing what is playable. What the reality is, is that I played through the short tutorial and got 30 seconds into level 1 before running into a fatal error that forced the game to close. Other people's mileage may vary. It would be heartless to leave a negative review of course - this isn't and never will be a full game and should not be judged as such. It should be judged on the vision and legacy of the dev. If you get any playtime out of it count that as a bonus.
We shared a vision, you were the one actually working on it, so I can only thank you and wish you peace.
