Wastelander

Great puzzle game for wasting out with a smoke. Has the Surviving Mars and Wasteland vibe. This is a roguelike wasteland builder that gives you fixed amount of turns to finish a map. Games can't be saved but are meant to be played from start to end in one session, which can be done fairly quickly or last more than an hour if you're smoking joints in between. Cool game, highly recommend it. Could use more animations though. Love the animated buildings in the game but I'm talking about destroying mountains or end-turn animation.

Really enjoyed the thoughtful game play and high degree of replay value. Fun little bonus is the great soundtrack! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a challenging puzzle game. Two thumbs up!

Update: the game is even better after coming out of early access. The new UI is great and the daily challenge previews and clickable leader boards are a great addition! I played this game a lot during the beta. It's like a challenging puzzle and I like that I can play the daily map and compare my score in the leader board and see how other people played the map. The music is awesome and the developers are also very friendly and responsive. 10/10 recommend!

Surprisingly relaxing. The random nature of per game unlocks forces fun strategy changes.

The game plays exactly the way I had hoped. Great optimization puzzle and engine-building vibes with good amount of randomness and push-your-luck elements. The tile visuals and looping music tracks are a bit lacking but the game is a great value and I have not encountered any bugs or UI issues.

Solid little game! The fighting against the storm feels like a good way to pace the game, you can feel as it builds that you need to have a stronger engine going. If you're familiar with this type of game, the difficulties might not feel too bad, even up to "Insane".

Wow...what a great game. I'm hooked. Very satisfying game play and so far bug free as far as I can tell. Worth every penny and therefore I highly recommend. Only £6.71 for me. A bargain. Very re-playable as well due to the procedural map generation. Will be on the lookout for more from this dev that's for sure.

Hmm... It is an interesting little game. Very much makes you think about the best ways to place your tiles. I think it is a good game. Is it worth its non-sale price, maybe not, but is a instant snap up on sale!

TL DR at the end. This game look good , the gameplay can be fun if only the game would work proprely , right from the main menu clicking on settings give me a new blue background and nothing else , no settings at all not even a pop up , just some blue clouds of dust . Ok i can try without changing volume ! New game , chose a difficulty and a seed , basic map preview that need to be clicked each time a new seed is generated but well , then into the proper game , no tutorial poping up , no description of tiles or anythings despite using the magnifier glass tool the game give you to identify tile , again nothing appear. Over on the ressources top right i can learn a few things , like the need to connect 5 ruins before the 50th turn , and each time you connect a ruin you should be given a choice of upgrade , again nothing pop up so no upgrade for me yeah ! I did connect some wreckage too , those just vanish , maybe some pick up ? who know ? Turn 49 i connect all 5 ruins needed , nothing happened , turn 50 and 51 too just your turn income and storm dust advancing . TL DR : Base game unfinished , no pop up for anything , no settings , no tuto , no upgrade , not even a victory / defeat screen !! Forgot to say , uninstalling -> installing , checking integrity of files neither worked guess steam can't code what doesn't exist.
