Great puzzle game. The timed mode is very addictive!
Nice relaxing summer vibe puzzle game. It’s a nice effort to create a Tetris beater. The goal is to move the tangram/tetris like blocks to spots on the beach to form squares of minimum 9 tiles to remove them and score points. There’s a sense of urgency because the blocks you use wash up on the beach and you don’t want too many or else it'll pollute the beach, which will end the game. It gives a bit more freedom in which order you choose blocks instead of being obligated to puzzle with what you get first. The difficulty lies in that you can’t move across other already placed blocks so you have to keep it as center as possible. The board gets pretty messy pretty soon with some leftover blocks and because of it it’ll result in barriers you can’t cross with your new blocks. There’s some special items to remove the mess (explosives and cannons) but there are not many and they’re also not effective to small debris laying around. So after a while it’s so messy you’ll end up in a state where you just have to give up. You can also activate a storm mode which makes matters even worse for me. This makes tiles come rapidly but they can’t pollute the beach, so you’re invincible for a short while. I wish there was some special ability to clear the board or at least the sides of the board. Maybe I’m just bad at the game but I feel it needs some more balancing to make it a game to get hooked on and play for hours on end. The game has nice sounds, relaxing soundtrack and decent graphics. All and all I had an enjoyable hour, this game certainly deserves attention if you’re a puzzle fan. I would like to have this game on a handheld or something, would be perfect to go for a round once in a while to kill some time.
A fiendish puzzle game that takes the tetris formula and then adds something new. Charming and playable with twists on the puzzle genre that will keep you coming back for more.
This is a really nice casual puzzle game that's perfect for losing yourself into for a while. Gameplay is sort of Tetris-ish but from different directions - it seems nice and easy at first but once you play for a while and the board starts filling up it gets quite hectic trying to figure out just what you're going to do with all the pieces! There are some nice extra things to keep it interesting like bonus scores and power-ups to help you out, like a cannon that blasts away the pieces. If I was going to suggest any improvements for a sequel or future version, I'd say it might be better broken up into shorter bursts, levels, so that game mechanics could be introduced step by step (one per level or something like that) rather than all at once. It's a bit of an information overload doing the tutorial, but easier to get when you actually start playing. I also feel like the collision between the pieces isn't needed and just adds unnecessary extra difficulty. That said, I like it, it's addictive - I'm def. coming back to play more - and something different to lose yourself in. I like the whole pollution, waves, beach vibe too, I think they fit with the game perfectly and it's a nice theme to play with. So far, I've only played Classic mode, but there's also time attack and free play modes as well as adjustable game speed ranging from Chilled to Insane. I'm barely good enough at it to feel like I should be in chilled mode, so I don't think I'd last more than a few seconds in 'insane'. I never was very good at packing!
An excellent and unique puzzle game. I love the beach aesthetic!
