About
A fearsome Chieftain is gathering an army, intent on the subjugation of the realm. The Villagers cry out for a hero! Someone to rise up and rescue them from their plight. This burden falls to you. Build a city, train an army, and equip your subjects. Seek out the assistance of helpful allies, such as dwarves, amazons, and sorceresses. With allies to help, and an army of your own, you can defeat the invading army and make the realm safe again!
7 basic units, with a further 15 available as upgrades!
Intriguing story with beautifully drawn artwork.
3 Vastly different Classes for you to choose from: Warlord, Sorcerer, and Treasurer. Over 70 different skills in all!
Diverse array of spells: Firewall, Lightning, Meteor Shower, Titan's Fist, Summon Elemental, Poisonous Cloud, Transmutation, and more! Only 4 spells can be brought into battle though, so choose wisely!
Multiple different game modes: Classic, Challenge, Survival, Maze, Hero Defense, Attack/Defend (Also used in PvP,) and Co-op missions.
Upgrade Defenders in the workshop! Multiple upgrades with several tiers for each defender. More upgrades become available as you build and improve your town.
Unlike regular Tower Defense games, Warstone TD has a unique method of summoning defenders (towers). You start with a fairly empty map and a few stones where you can place defenders. As the level progresses, more stones appear and some even drop from enemies, allowing you to place them in any valid position on the map. Powerful Warstones also appear occasionally which give significant bonuses to defenders standing on them. You can summon any of the 5 basic defenders on the stones: Peasant, Archer, Rifleman, Sorceress, and Elemental. Each basic defender has its own upgrade path, damage type, gold cost, and special abilities!
Warstone TD also has 2 extra base units only available for use in attack/defense missions, the Eagle and the Wolf. Each have branching upgrade paths, like the basic defenders. With such a variety of defenders and game classes there is a huge amount of tactics in PvP battles, increasing replayability even further!
There are 30 story missions and each mission has 3 modes: Campaign, Challenge, and Survival. The player can choose the difficulty of each mission from 4 settings: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. Each mode has a unique achievement which gives a star when completed, the color of the star corresponds to the difficulty of the mission: gold for Nightmare, silver for Hard, and bronze for Normal. Levels have a lot of possible solutions but, with so many combinations, you're going to need to perfect your strategy to master them. And just in case you forget how awesome you are, there's an online leaderboard, which tracks your score, both in Campaign mode and PvP. Compete with your friends, or enemies!
After you progress through the first 4 missions in the campaign, you are able to choose a class to augment your abilites in battle. The classes are non-linear, you can pick and choose skills from any class, but you have to focus on a class if you want to get the most powerful skills.
The Mighty Warlord greatly increases the effectiveness of your army! He improves the power and abilities of your defenders, can unleash the power of stone to help in battle; allowing placement of stones to slow nearby enemies, or give you a surge of mana and gold. He also has skills which allow your defenders to level up in battle, becoming more powerful with each successive rank.
The Cunning Treasurer's weapon is gold! He is a master of item storage, able to fit an improbably large number of items into his backpack, and find many more scrolls and even potions during battles. Everything he does is for gold! He is able to increase bounty for enemies killed, make his own defenders cheaper, and eventually can even get a powerful spell that allows you to transmute an enemy into pure gold! With all of these abilities, the Treasurer can field a much bigger army than any other class.
The Powerful Sorcerer is able to complete levels using only spells! He can bring up to eight spells into battle, increasing flexibilty greatly. His skills revolve around buffing spell effectiveness, regenerating mana, unlocking more powerful spells, and he can even transform units into mana. Among the spells the sorcerer can unlock are: Summon Elemental, Reduction; which shrinks and debuffs monsters, Meteor Shower, and Teleportation; which allows you to teleport defenders to any available stone on the map.

Simple TD where you build some buildings and stuff then go to battle and place troops like towers. Spells can be casted at enemies. For me game doesn't have much charm, it's just another TD. Pretty bad actually.

I can't recommend this. The foundation of this game is good, but too many bad design choices make the game very grindy and frustrating.
I do like the game, but do not buy. I can not progress in the game past a few levels in because it forces you to play online with other players, and now I have been on 2 separate occasions, both times waited hours, and it will not allow me to see, or join, any other game. OR let me create a game to play. There are ones I can, with difficulty, play and beat "solo" but the PVP is completely broken.
So, I got this key from my fellow gamer and a streamer AlphaTheTitan, he's streaming at Twitch, you can go drop a follow and subs to him here: https://www.twitch.tv/alphathetitan. Also, watch his stream and you can redeem some games from him. Please kindly mention that you know him from me if you watch him because of my review here (my twitch tag will be @johnykism). I redeemed this key from his channel and he asked me to review it. [TLDR] First thing first,
I will rate it 66 from 100.
Why? 1. I like it, I dunno why... I'm not a strategic type of person just love to have fun in TD games like Bloons TD, 7Days2Die, Terminal Squad Sentinel, & etc. But, this game quite addictive at the first start. I like the artwork of the game, just sucks that you want the complete experience but, they hidden behind another paywall (DLC). [8] 2. Achievements can't be done if u dont have the DLCs. It quite svcks but, yeah... feels like cash grab? I guess yeah, cause the DLC gave you some great buff on your game like dropping mithrils easily so u don't need to grind a lot. [2] 3. I like the way the devs put stories in it and part of the tutorial to guide me thru the game. it might lacks of deep story telling but, quite enjoyable. So, it gives u fast journey thru the dungeon rather than gurgling a lot. [10] 4. The leveling no needs of balancing since, you are the one holding the power to level up by your own wish. But, you can't pick the overpowered level early game of course, it'll ruin the fun :D . But, seriously leveling needs a lot of points. [6] 5. Killing a boss in every difficulty levels is rewarding (at least for me). Different type of monsters challenge you with new strategies, even tho I just put the stone anywhere I like, LMFAO. (don't get me wrong, the game is quite easy to play in the hard mode, so play it on the max diff which is Nightmare, but for me normal is okay since i need to drop this review fast and got a lot of backlogs). I turn the diff to the max since I need to collect the stars, so I tried it already, don't worry it's not biased. [9] 6. The quest is okay I guess, story-based though. It's just svcks that some story quests need you to play COOP but the dev killed the server already even tho they offer another method to finish it in Solo play. [4] 7. You can try to level up faster by checking which map drops you better loots like Mithril (browse online you nerd!). My advice play it from the easiest difficulty to grasp the spoiler in Nightmare mode. So, it offers you replay-ability, also if you new to this genre, stay in normal mode to figure out how things worked please, it will help you progressing. I guess 9 for putting the difficulty setting changed easily before you enter a dungeon or level. [9] 8. This poly game is quite optimized I guess, I played in 300FPS and the townhall runs even faster in 4000FPS, when you open the game--welcome screen even runs over 8999FPS hahahaha. I'm on RTX 4060 with intel i5-12400F it might be the reason for it but, the bad side of it--this game feels like lagging when you open and go into your townhall, all feels robotic and delayed. In game is smooth, not gonna lie, just cant stand the feels of lagging on the townhall. It's Unity engine, bruh LMAO--"seems" you playing mobile game in PC you nuts! 💀 [6] 9. Many helpful items this game offers to you, so choose wisely since you have limited room to bring them into the dungeon. I can say the dev isn't a slacker tho putting many options and for you to control. [9] 10. Progressing quite hard in normal mode after the mission that you need to put 3 Spirit Elementals also, you might get stuck in the Fight to the Death mission. I checked online, no guides of it, too few players cause you know, the game lacks of quality and it has simple design. Killing my mood instantly, I am so sorry. [3] It's worth to buy only on sale, i guess. It's playable and the artworks is okay, IMHO. The music is okay-ish, needs more BGM--Townhall music is relaxing hehe. But, it is up to the devs. Good Job! just need some updates to make it pleasurable to play in the future since the Online CO-OP has been shut down for this game. ***{My opinion in every game reviews} I also have big hope for any developers today to release a complete game rather than releasing incomplete game with ridiculous price as a promise to keep updating the game. Bro, y'all selling software, please finish it first. We love to pay here. Please treat the game like it was released in Compact Disk (CD) before, all tested and no issues. Peace out~ ✌️
Very fun game, definitely recommend it. its a nice chill game to play when trying to unwind.
I REALLY wanted to like this game. I love the female character designs. THICC Valkyrie's in chainmail bikinis? Chefs kiss👌🏻. But dear lord this is an absolute jank fest. It crashed my PC the first time I tried to run it, & every action you take feels incredibly awkward & clunky. Just generally an unpleasant experience.
