I just really like the Adepta Sororitas.
I love that faction Sisters of Battle that was cool and I bet Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War Soulstorm would be way more better with mods! Sisters of Battle has to be by far the best faction! If MegaGlest ever gets a remaster just like Warhammer Dawn of War Definitive Edition i'd say MegaGlest Remastered needs Sync kills and Observer mode! We really need MegaGlest Remastered! Integrating sync-kills into a hypothetical MegaGlest Remastered would be an absolute game-changer! It is a brilliant way to bring that gritty, physical Dawn of War energy to MegaGlest’s classic fantasy setting.Seeing a Tech faction Mech literally crush a Magic faction Daemon, or a Dragon picking up a dynamic human Knight and tossing them across the battlefield, would elevate the visual feedback to a whole new level. Why Sync Kills Would Elevate MegaGlest Highlighting Faction Asymmetry. MegaGlest thrives on the massive thematic clash between Magic, Tech, Egyptians, Norsemen, and Romans. Sync-kills would make these clashes feel incredibly distinct—like an Egyptian Mummy pulling apart a Roman Legionnaire with cursed wraps.Hero and Epic Unit Showcase: Massive units like the Daemon or the Archmage would feel truly terrifying if they had dedicated execution animations for swatting away smaller grunts. Breathing Life into Battlefields: MegaGlest has always had great faction variety, but combat can sometimes look like units just bumping into each other until a health bar drops which is why WE REALLY NEED MEGAGLEST REMASTERED! Dynamic combat animations would make every skirmish feel cinematic. The Technical Challenge (and Opportunity)MegaGlest is famously open-source and built on a custom engine. While adding sync-kills to the existing engine would require a massive rewrite of how combat collisions and animations are coded, a modern Remaster using a newer engine (like Unreal or Unity) could easily handle it! Integrating sync-kills for those specific factions would make a MegaGlest Remastered absolutely legendary. What Sync Kills Could Look Like for the Factions in MegaGlest. Aztecs: An Aztec Eagle Warrior or Jaguar Knight knocking an enemy down, pinning them with a shield, and executing a swift, ritualistic finishing blow using an obsidian-bladed Macuahuitl. Africans: A high-tier African Elephant rider unit could pick up an enemy infantryman with its trunk, slam them into the dirt, and trample them realistically into the battlefield terrain. Crusaders: A heavily armored Crusader Knight could parry an incoming strike, bash the opponent across the face with a heavy heater shield, and follow up with a massive two-handed broadsword downward execution.Dark Knights: To contrast the Crusaders! Dark Knights could have incredibly brutal, sinister executions. A dark rider could impale an enemy with a lance, drag them a few meters along the ground, and cast them aside. Egypt: An Anubis Warrior or Mummy would knock an opponent down, plunge their dual khopesh blades into the target's chest, and channel the Power of Ra to visually drain their soul as a glowing golden mist. Indians: The mighty Chieftain would parry a blow, strike the enemy's legs out with a heavy stone tomahawk, and execute a brutal overhead finishing strike, while a nearby Shaman totem flashes with spiritual lightning. Magic: A summoned Daemon or Archmage would levitate a target into the air with telekinetic energy, cause them to violently combust into purple magical flames, and scatter their remaining ashes to the wind. Norsemen: A fierce Thor Avenger or Valkyrie would impale an enemy on their spear, lift them cleanly off the ground using raw brute force, and call down a brief crackle of blue chain-lightning to disintegrate them. Persians: A massive armored War Elephant would catch an enemy grunt with its tusks, hurl them high into the air, and catch them on the way down, trampling them into the ground. Alternatively, a Genie could violently pull a target inside its lamp, crushing them completely before tossing the empty armor aside. Romans: A Gladiator or Centurion would bash an enemy with their heavy rectangular scutum shield, knock them flat onto their back, and deliver a swift, disciplined gladius thrust straight through the armor's breastplate. Tech: The massive Battle Mech would step forward, trap an enemy infantryman beneath one massive iron foot, and fire its arm-mounted vulcan cannon point-blank into them, leaving a smoking crater. Saxons: True to their fierce reputation, a Saxon Axeman could hook an opponent's shield away with a bearded axe, kick them to the knee, and deliver a devastating overhead cleave. Bringing that visceral Dawn of War weight to MegaGlest's historic and community-made factions would instantly turn it from a charming indie RTS into a spectacular battlefield simulator. WE REALLY NEED MEGAGLEST REMASTERED!!!!!!
