About
This is a classic 2D old-school RPG in the style of the retro Super NES and Genesis RPGs such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

In the blood of their family, runs the prophecy of the Vessels, those who are capable of channelling the powers of the Old Gods, and use them to banish evil. The prophecy skipped Oriana and landed on Orion, who is now being hunted by those who his powers menace the most.

The game only costs 10 bucks. So I was hoping for a classic rpg kinda like FF2 super nintendo type style like I love back in the day and I just wanted to fumble around and enjoy myself. I did enjoy myself but there were some odd things I noticed right off the bat. The npcs wont be very interesting(case in point the first drop off from the train ride...none of the npc's would move or talk to you...I honestly thought my game was bugged I reloaded a few times to wipe that idea to bed). And don't expect much for secret treasure...cause there isn't any I looked everywhere and once your in the next town its apparent the dev isn't hiding loot boxes its very basic on how to to get chests. Now that kinda takes a kick in the groin if your like me and enjoy finding stuff to add some advantage or flavor to the game. But since that isn't in this game lets move on. First major boss fight was almost a lets leave this game alone type of thing...I fought it for over 28 min using all my potions and skills with pretty optimal rotations of players abilities ( with that said i reloaded and bought extra pots to beat that ♥♥♥♥♥)...i actually killed Calantha in the first boss encounter...honestly after like 15 min into it i was like..really the first boss in the game and its like this?( at this point Oriana and Gallant are like lvl 4) I made a separate saved file before the boss fight before i beat it..which i only got 300 xp and 200 gold for over 28 min of back and forth potion healing and using abilities very strict and optimal. I said to myself this cant be right?...i loaded the file to fight the boss again and just laid down and let the boss kill me, apparently that was the intended method... ( but after the boss fight its the only interesting thing in the game that happens after this particular boss fight for the story, without telling you all the spoilers ) And to find out some grim details that follows for the story to unfold to THE ACTUAL GAME.....So now to me beating this game..which I did very easily...Pro tip once you get your ship head to Breakshire town or whatever and purchase the Mythril weapons they are expensive but if your like me i coasted all around the small world for extra chests and avoided monsters to get extra gold or even killed a handful of monsters to get the gold to equip my whole party( You can SAVE ANYTIME in the game so exploring and checking out new areas and to see if you can handle that new area of monsters was probably the only fun i had besides just beating this game. With mithril weapons I moved to each island or landmass to fight new monsters and new bosses that were actually too easy..specially if you figure out the Belle rotation to keep mobs stunned each round and YES the stun works on bosses to lock them down easily...not entirely every round but if you made it this far and pay attention to your party's skills and how they work you can almost lock down most hard encounters and bosses using Belle's stun volley attack. Also all your TP which i guess is technique points, they dont rest after fights or after a INN rest..oh yea i forgot if you want to make it easy in the start of the game like before lvl 15ish make sure you use the INNS for 10g rests besides spending all your money on pots cause there a ton of fights you will be screwed early on without being full mana and hp...the travel back and forth from town and middle dungeons is trivial not a big deal. I'm stingy on gold so after like lvl 12-15 you kinda want to find a rythme to rest and go back to the last few monsters in a dungeon and save money..least that what i did so i never lose fights...at the end of the day after beating all bosses and then heading to final dungeon. I have a few things to say about that.....For one wtf there is an island with a Crumbled looking tower that was never accessed or cant be entered into( I mean you can go to it and move on it but nothing allows you to enter it)...pissed me off i went to every town and everyplace i could think of to unlock it..still nothing...also after beating Calantha...she just sits on her throne and says go away after you killed her..wtf and also if you go to the first tower where you saved Orion...Calantha and Orion are still there just standing there like you never rescued yourself lol..(It's in Tower of Lightning) ..might be an oversight or bug. But least I sniffed it out and saw it like it was passed on by. Also Gallants Armor Pierce Ability doesn't hit ALL monsters like it says in game only hits one target. For 10 bucks i beat this in 7 hours with smoke breaks and trying to find things that were never there only to expect an easter egg or someting to make it more fun....ZERO issues with combat very smooth and enjoyable just lacking like a Humpback Whale of content i was i guess expecting thru the game play...thank you for makeing this it did satisfy my craving for a old classic rpg i never intended to beat in one day lol....make more of this but add like a lot more conent!!! love the Boss Artwork and appcriate your time makeing it,thank you...ALSO this GAME SUPPORTS XBOX controller
Simple, short rpg., the kind I like to play. Wait for it to go on sale though because it's not really worth 10 bucks for 4 hours of play. Recommended.
