From the ex-Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive team comes a janky love letter to PS2-era action. Play a week in the life of the Zombie Unit: an elite Hong Kong police squad carving through a corporate conspiracy in a storm of swordplay and gunfire. Stylish, brutal, and absolutely not for everyone.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A cult classic.
Wanted: Dead is a hybrid slasher/shooter that plays like a lost PS2 disc someone dared to actually finish. It's a hard, weird, gorgeous action game with zero interest in being for everyone. Built by veterans of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, it fuses razor-precise swordplay with third-person gunfire in a combat system that rewards you for being reckless and stylish at the same time.
Combat with teeth.
Chain melee and gunplay into brutal, screen-filling combos. Parry, dismember, and finish enemies with executions that are as grotesque as they are satisfying. Slow the chaos to a crawl in bullet time and then punish everything on screen. The fights are demanding and occasionally unfair.
A week in the life of the Zombie Unit.
You are Lt. Hannah Stone, leading an elite Hong Kong police squad through a neon-soaked corporate conspiracy. It's a linear and story-rich campaign that swerves without warning from grim ultraviolence to something stranger.
Unapologetically weird.
This is a game where you'll finish a brutal boss fight and then sit down to a lovingly rendered ramen-eating minigame, or a round of karaoke, or an arcade cabinet. The whiplash isn't a bug, it's the personality. It's scrappy, pulpy, and self-aware.
Rough around the edges. On purpose.
Wanted: Dead is niche, distinctive, and proud of its jank. If you grew up on Deadly Premonition, Vanquish, and Lollipop Chainsaw and you've been missing games with this much attitude: welcome home.
Key Features.
Melee that means it: A deep hack-and-slash system with a huge move set and finishers built to slice, dice, and dismember.
Guns in the same breath: Flow straight from the blade into a handpicked arsenal of assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and grenade launchers. Melee and gunplay are one nasty rhythm.
50+ brutal finishers: Over fifty unique execution moves, each more grotesque than the last. Deeply unnecessary and yet absolutely the point.
Neon and grime: A cyberpunk Hong Kong where high-tech hardware collides with retro '90s futurism.
A story that swerves: Ride with the Zombie Unit as they pull apart a massive corporate conspiracy in a dystopian Hong Kong. Linear, story-rich, and prone to going somewhere strange.
Genuinely hardcore: These fights will not be kind to you. Steel up and use everything around you to cut through hordes of mercenaries, synthetics, and private security who very much want you dead.
Old-school beat 'em up, modern edge: Wade in, take everything down, keep moving. It's the beat 'em up you grew up on dragged into the present with more blood and better toys.
A love letter to the sixth console generation: Made for anyone who still misses the PS2 era when action games were weird, scrappy, and cool.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

This game has a certain B-movie charm. The contrals are janky but workable. Had no problems performing any combos. i really wanted to like it. But constant crashing sadly makes this game unplayable for me.
bad game that was goofy but decided to slopify the cover art for no reason, pirate it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Unfinished and uneven. Memorable, nonetheless.
Wanted Dead was an unfinished, janky, oddly designed mess that I nevertheless found charming enough to finish a whole playthrough. Do you know what's not charming? Suddenly switching store page art into AI slop. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ that the game itself doesn't have slopshit in it, this thumb down stays as long as that filth still remains on the page.
This game is tonally bananas. The vibe is something out of a 2008 bargain bin: there are inexplicable anime cutscenes, the characters move and talk like wooden mannequins, there is an in-universe cooking show you can only access via a crane game mini game, audio levels are so inconsistent you sometimes can't hear dialogue. But the combat is absolutely incredible. It is a combination of gun and katana fighting with parries and combos that really take a lot of skill to master. The hard difficulty is legitimately hard and pushes you to make the most of these systems. Definitely take a chance on this gem. I had a blast.
Peak 2000s, Rando awesome. Fun combat once the flow is learned. Really like the Gun design.

I don't care what anyone says! Someone just took me and turned me into Black Mamba, put a Hattori Hanzo sword in my one hand, and then Saint Wick himself came down from heaven and handed me a pistol in the other. And i'm having mega lesbian romance fantasies too <3 Soundrack is absolutely killer! Camera is janky, and as i suspected PC controls are not WELL supported but i was happy they allow you to remap them. I tried the controller and i did not like it but with some time on the tutorial level i was able to get a mouse and keyboard scheme that works great. I appreciated being able to remap controls but definitely they should have made that more intuitive and allow mouse 3/4. Lazy console port stuff. I overlook it because the game has so many style points its outta this world. Once i started thinking of the pistol like just a different melee move that can hit farther it started to make sense. The game wants to you be dodging, timing blocks, and zipping around sprinting. If you aren't doing that you're in cover trying to shoot them up. But i haven't had much success with... what? Primary weapon? I thought thats what the sword was for? Its not an easy game, at least for me. I'm not that fast with hack and slash mechanics - don't expect to treat it like tarkov or smth - its not a shooting game. Honestly i wasn't dissapointed. Again, the music is great and timed to the scenes you're in so as soon as you would naturally come bursting out into an area at full sprint leaping at the nearest enemy with your blade - the synthwave tracks kick up in tempo and hard beats start going. Kinda made me feel like i was in the Red Circle... Game is good. Especially if you can get it on sale. I'm gonna be playing this through at least one time for sure. Its quite satisfying alternating gunplay and swordplay. That said - IT IS WORTH a careful time in the settings and training grounds. I was really happy to see a MGS style training. PPL. I LOVE THIS GAME! >_<
