Don't know wtf did i just completed, but damn if it was MAGICAL! Hope to see some kind of followup to Walter Walnut. Really cozy platformer that tackle a particular art style i like: the spyro ps1 artstyle but in hd unity-like graphics. Really racommand this. It's really good for what it is and is really cheap, too! I say go for it even without a sale. The ending is kind anti-climatic tough.
An okay platformer, but fails to feel satisfying, especially in its combat. It is a little bit of fun to fly around, but you can find more satisfying flying games that let you swoop and explore a bit more. The game disguises itself as open world, but you don't have a choice really in where to go. Also, the dash function does not appear until the very end of the game, where it is less useful. Would have made the flying feel a lot better throughout the game if I had it earlier. Dialogue is lacking, and nothing the NPCs say to you (except one interaction) is actually useful, which is quite sad in a game that could easily lend itself to lots of big personalities. Also a bit glitchy in certain places, and accidentally dashed through a wall at one point, but not in the fun way.

A great game. Very fun to play. 5 stars.
Walter Walnut sets off on an adventure to find the mythical, the illustrious...... GOLDEN HAZELNUT!
The Positives
[+] Cheap price [+] Gliding feels very fun and solid. [+] Easy to navigate levels, but doesn't need to tell you where you need to exactly go. (Not that you would get lost.) [+] Cute graphics. [+] Pretty good length of gameplay for the short price. About 2 hours. (less if you speedrun.) [+] Very easy achievements for hunters. [+] Quitting the game sets you exactly right where you left off.
The Negatives
[-] Combat just relies on spamming singular attacks even with boss fights. [-] Spamming dash can lead you under the map causing you to quit and come back. (Plus if you want to speedrun.) [-] Collecting all collectibles doesn't unlock anything additional other than achievements. Codeer did a great job with this small and chill platformer. It's just something to throw on when you just wanna sit back and relax. I couldn't really come up with much of an actual review, but I did wanna write things I did/didn't like in an attempt to push this out to other players who might enjoy. I would be down for a sequel or even a different title from Codeer.
Short relaxing cosy game. Very enjoyable with amazing graphics and atmosphere. Sent me straight to childhood when I played Spyro and similar platformer games.
a golden game
game feels empty, pointless conversation with characters add nothing to the story. You cannot climb trees even though you are a squirrel(platforming up branches doesn't count) Coins do nothing but give you the means to acquire hats Collecting 100 nuts seems meaningless, nothing happened when I collected 100 except it reset to 0. I get its supposed to be an adventure platformer, but there we nothing really exciting, just going from point a to to point b.
Fun little adventure, works flawlessly on the Steamdeck
Süßer, kurzer und chilliger Plattformer.
