About
Vocal Horror Stories is an episodic, voice-interactive psychological horror series set in India. Each episode tells a short and unique story where your voice controls the character’s mental state. Whatever you speak can change the environment in a positive or negative way.
In the first episode of this series, you play as Shivani, a young woman with an anxiety disorder from Chennai, India. During the COVID lockdown, she is desperately investigating her missing mother, Maya, based on the clues she has. However, her elephant-headed companion, Gaja (elephant in Sanskrit), has offered you some help but at a cost. Who is he? What is his plan? Did she find her mother in the end?
Screaming will intensify the horror. You will need to say certain words into your mic to calm yourself. Additionally, some devices will also respond to your voice. So be mindful.
You have questions. Only your missing mother has the answers. Find her using the clues inside your apartment.
The story will not be told directly. Rather, occurrences within Shivani's apartment will let you connect the dots and deduce the story.
The story and its clues draw from Indian culture and sentiments, giving you a deeply rooted experience.
No flashlights! There is no darkness to hide in.
