average game at best. tennis is decent, probably the best simulator on the market atm. bare minimum in terms of content and customisation but still decent physics apart from exaggerated spin and an AI that can barely return anything. table tennis however is a different story despite what the arrogant developers think. Touted as the most realistic simulator, it is however the complete opposite. an overly arcadey, unrealistic glorified pong that also gives you nothing in terms of customisation or content. coupled with the inability to reposition yourself in game and a ball that seems to stay on the table no matter how you hit it even when fun mode is turned off. dont even think about mentioning any of these flaws on the discussion though as the developers apparently cant handle honest criticism despite being critical of other games like paddle up & eleven (which are far better games/simulators) themselves. also seems like nothing is in the works in terms of updates. in short: not worth $20. if youre looking for a realistic table tennis simulator, get eleven. if youre looking for a decent tennis simulator and dont care about money or an abandoned featureless game, sure, get this.

Decided to refund because online play doesn't work at all and kept giving me "Unable to connect" and "Network failure", even though there is nothing wrong with my connection. Game also seems to be dead and abandoned by the devs. It's a shame since i really liked the tennis here.

I don't know if it was a good idea to release this game as 'Virtual Sports' instead of 'Virtual Tennis'. It is the tennis part what makes this game outstanding. The ping pong part is also nice but too easy to be fully realistic and there is also competition with high quality. The tennis instead feels real - holding the racket, serving, hitting the ball, playing volleys at the net. After starting the game you find yourself on a training court, where you can try all the different techniques you need to beat the AI. There are six AI characters with different playing styles and three levels of difficulty. This variety will further improve your gameplay. All the characters on the different levels have to be unlocked by winning, and when you have beaten all of them you are prepared to do the real thing - playing virtual tennis online against human opponents. This is a lot of fun and can become a routine just as playing real tennis. I can only encourage all buyers of this game not to stop with playing against AI opponents, but to go online and meet other tennis fans. The problem of movement has been solved by teleportation. There is a passive teleportation that ensures that you are always able to reach the ball. Thus, you don't see your opponent moving on the court but just appear on spot. Sometimes you may think that he would never have been able to reach your ball in real tennis. This somehow interferes with positional play. However, as a compensation for the downside of teleportation it gets more difficult to return the ball if you are starting from an unfavorable position. The active teleportation is used for net attacks. Doing net attacks against human opponents gets much more difficult in contrast to playing against AI. There are some other minor glitches or questionable design choices but these do not diminish the value of this great game. For tennis fans this game is a must have and worth every penny.

Excellent! I bought it for Tennis since I already have all the Pingpong games. For less than $20.00, you get your own tennis court! The career mode make me coming back for more. I am stuck playing the champions because I am not a regular tennis player and it is not easy to play the champions (which is a good thing) I wish I can play with someone. But there has not been anyone on line.

A nice surprise -- very polished and fun. I've played a lot of Eleven ping pong but I enjoy the single player ping pong in Virtual sports more. I actually feel like I'm playing against different opponents in Virtual Sports where in Eleven I feel like I'm playing against invincible robots that sometimes let me win a point here or there. I'll leave it to others to discuss how realistic the physics are, but for me the physics are close enough to feel like I'm playing ping pong (don't play a lot in real life). Tennis is fun as well -- obviously teleporting tennis is never going to be perfect, but I've played a couple of hours of it already which is more time than I spend in most vive games I purchase. I highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys racket sports.

This will be an awesome game if multiplayer worked as promised...kept saying network failure...and unable to connect... I played other multiplayer vr games like Eleven Table Tennis, SportsBar, Rec room, Quivr..all without any problems so problem is not on my side...I am refunding this and may repurchase this if multiplayer is fixed at some later date..... For a single player tennis game I much rather prefer the First Person Tennis - the real tennis simulator....

Props to the makers. I picked it up on sale today. Had it in my wish list for a while as I've heard good things but couldn't really see how tennis or ping pong would be all that great. I was wrong, the physics are really quite incredible. I can tell there is obviously some assist in action to make things a little less realistic and frustraiting and 10X more fun. Great job. I can't decide wich I like better. Probably ping pong since I grew up playing it and it hits close to home.
