For a more detailed review + gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTrSXPUyshg Here's the basics: - Game lasts about 15 minutes - No locomotion, you can do everything standing in one spot - Meh graphics, nothing pops or stands out - Some cool animals but not a lot or all that often - A great message and a great tool to teach about climate change As an educational tool, I do recommend it. As a game, probably not worth it until there is a massive sale.
An enjoyable and somewhat scary look at the ocean in the Arctic and what lives beneath and what will be living beneath with global climate change. The Blu but with mp, much more interesting and with a awareness of what we are doing to the Earth and it's other inhabitants. Highly recommend. Video review: https://youtu.be/15EEGjE4E68
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/eZOR-yk3BO8 This a 15 minute mostly cinematic virtual reality experience. There are really only two interactions. You have a laser pointer which you can use to point at things (and get some factoids on those objects which are interactive) and you have a camera to take selfies or take low quality photos of objects around, including marine life & vegetation. Room-scale is required to start the experience. You have to reach the start button. That's the only time you'll use your room-scale. I'm not kidding. They actually thought that was a good idea. So most of the experience is just scripted events where a narrator will tell you about global warming and the effect of the that on this particular oceanic life. It was all stuff that I was already aware of, but it is illustrated here with a look at present conditions as well as the possible near future impact on oceanic life. The visuals are mediocre, not great like in theBlu. However, unlike other games with this level of graphics, you can't swim around or interact with items in a meaningful or creative way. In the end, this feels more like it should have been a free to play title and then we could have forgiven its limitations. I'm just not sure I got my $2.99 USD (50% Steam sale) value from this experience. Rate 5/10. I think this would be good for kids to learn about global warming in a approachable manner and I do recommend this app for that purpose, especially if you happen to have a LAN with several VR headsets and PCs capable of running VR just lying around your house (don't forget to buy a copy for each machine!)
Game doesn't work at all- I have the Rift S, I spawn in a room with my hands in front of me- none of the buttons do anything, I'm unable to move around and the panel to get started is outside the edge of my house, so I cannot reach it. If I could refund, I would.
this is quite a nice piece as an educational tool for people wanting to know some of the realities that could become obvious if we dont address climate change. However the quality of the actual fish , scenery etc needs to be clearer , maybe you would look at the people who made 'The Blu' . That has a silent message on the wonders of marine life , now if you could polish your demo with that then you really would have a winner. Good Job and definitely a thumbs up sky
I like this. An objective look at the way global warming might effect the arctic. Don't worry, no-one is preaching or ramming anything down our throats here.
This is the perfect experience to make people understand the consequences of global warming. I was amazed by the realism of the animals (I almost catched a marine crab!!) and really frightened by the scientists predictions. The VR interactions are perfectly calibrated and the narration is really captivating. I highly recommend this application.
Не назвал бы это игрой, скорее интерактивная телепрограмма, которая ещё и пк выжигает без особой графики )
