Overall it's an interesting, if slightly frustrating experience. It's a relatively short game so I'll also keep my thoughts brief. The good: - Interesting gameplay style (I haven't played Crypt of the NecroDancer so I don't know how many of this game's ideas are original though) - Great art direction (the reason I tried the game, actually) - Intriguing (if short) story - I can see there being a high skill ceiling in terms of taking down enemies as fast as possible/without losing any health The bad: - The bosses are way, way too long. They often take longer than the entire stage you fight through on the way there. They also have a first phase where you can't damage them in any way and you literally have to run down the clock, which feels unrewarding - It can be hard to discern between projectiles and the background, which especially on bosses can make them way harder than they need to be - Iffy English translation (it's understandable but definitely very Engrish in places) Overall, do I recommend it? If you like NecroDancer style gameplay and the artstyle speaks to you then go ahead, it's free. But unless you're really good at these types of games I would recommend Easy mode as even on Normal mode the bosses are way too difficult.
