About
VHS Collection: Buried Alive is a psychological horror experience that immerses players in a slow-burning descent into guilt, grief, and paranoia. Set in the fog-covered, snow-drenched town of Alebha, the game follows David, a man trying to escape the shadows of his past by starting a new life—only to find those shadows have followed him.
After taking a quiet job as an overnight graveyard security guard, David hopes the isolation will bring peace. But as the nights go on, peace is the last thing he finds. Disturbing dreams begin to bleed into reality. Whispers echo through the cemetery. Shapes move in the fog. Snow falls endlessly, muffling sounds that shouldn’t exist. And beneath it all lies something buried—something that refuses to stay dead.
As David’s mind begins to unravel, hallucinations become harder to distinguish from the truth. Memories resurface in fragmented nightmares, and a presence lurks in the distance, watching. Each night reveals more of Alebha’s dark history, and more of David’s internal torment.
The game features a gritty VHS-inspired visual style, with analog distortion, grainy textures, and flickering effects that intensify the sense of disorientation. The snowy, fog-filled streets and desolate cemetery are brought to life through chilling ambient sound and oppressive atmosphere.

Reviews

I enjoyed this game in the beginning. THEN... the bugs started to happen: - I couldn't turn the car unless I was completely stop and started to go again. - Stopping the car took 7 seconds. - Running into the dinner or a rock or a wall with the car does not make the car move at all afterwards. - Starting the dream ALL OVER AGAIN is ridiculous. - Voice acting is spot on for English fluency, but being typed out... Nope. - Physically going back and forth to check things in the graveyard when it could easily be done in the house with the computer when you're already in the house is absurd. What's the point in having the cameras if you're going to have the player physically do the checking. - Not being able to get in the car after getting groceries, and venturing halfway across town on foot to get the meat. Put more parking spots in the town. - Unable to pick up things of importance (like paper) that seem to have key components of solving a puzzle. This is Version 18... The only positive thing I have to say about this game are the graphics.
After 10 minutes into the game. the boss admin PC is bugged and you canot do anything .
It's an interesting psychological horror game that leaves you with the unsettling feeling of wondering whether it's reality or not! I played the game on YouTube, and I'm very grateful that Alonso, one of the creators, came to watch! At that time, I expressed my gratitude and reported some bugs, but I'm not sure if my message got through because I'm not good at English :( There were some issues, such as not being able to close BOOBLE when opening it on PC, and the car getting stuck when it hits a wall in the final scene, but thanks to the autosave, I was able to restart from the beginning of the chapter and enjoy the game right up to the ending! However, it was a very interesting work! Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to your future game developments! P.S. I used Google Translate, so I apologize if there are any inconsistencies in grammar, etc.

Errie and unsettling, definitely spooked me a few times. Did encounter a bug or two which stopped my progression, but was fixed after a restart.
This game needs some polishing and better writing, because even for an indie game this looks more like a comedy than horror. But I've played the previous games of these devs before and they were fun, this one is not an exception. I don't want to trash talk on this game, because I see the improvement, so this definitely deserves attention.
