Feels great, meditative, moody. Great music. Good for both short focused sessions and extended chill late night calls.
Awesome experience thats deserves more love. Has the same feel and competitiveness to it as CS Surfing, but more friendly to casual players, Hope it blows up, Rip by pinky spamming crouch

There is something to the feeling of hands on smooth concrete, whether gliding across or coming down on it violently, accepted or rejected by its impossible cold, an architect’s caress or the brutality of nature in a simple cubic structure. Vholume understands this, and gives you a rush of control as you come crashing down against beton, rhythmically glancing across it like a rock on the surface of water, defying its gravity and dancing with it upwards and forwards. Impossible architecture hurtling past you, trypophobic windows and electric lights now and again piercing the void of fog and stone. Vholume’s avatar of speed exclaims only in breaths, but conveys an urgency, melancholy, and fear in their movements that grants a fitting physicality to the contact made with every surface. Matched with the somber music, a pleasant surprise coming off Straftat’s hyper drum-and-bass, the space becomes hollow in a way entirely conducive to its traversal. I skipped over something in my frantic flight – jumped the wrong wall and ended up on a blurry surface overlooking the void, a giant freeway bridging the skyline in the distance and disappearing into darkness. This is the intended landscape, a pocket where the residents of Vholume find peace, where I escape for just a moment, uncertain if I'm truly away or if I just can't be seen here. I huddle into the cold concrete for this reason, it feels protective as much as oppressive.
If you are a fan of time-attack/movement games (ie. Mirrors Edge), given the pricepoint I think this game is a very easy reccomendation. Getting all Gold medals and B-Sides cleared took about 11 hours and I had a great time the whole way through (yes, even kreedz). If you like how the movement feels in the demo, the full game is just 60 more stages of that! I think causal players looking for a one-and-done experience might feel left down by the lack of any plot and the diffculty being quite easy if you are just going for completion. It took me only about 2-3 hours to beat the game without going for Gold on all regular levels. Also, the OST and level design (both gameplay wise and visually) are very good, and even just the base levels had a ton of variety in how they feel to play. (Though the more 'experimental' ideas are left for the B-Sides) (Also, if you like the environments in this game, give STRAFTAT and BABBLI a shot! They share an environment artist with this game and are both free! :D) VERDICT: A great movement/time-attack game that definitely appeals to those looking to go for fast times and climb the leaderboard more than casual players. Even so, I can see how the visuals and soundscape it provides could make for a nice experience for those just looking to spend a sitting or two running though the interesting stages and environments that the team behind this game has created.
Viciante! se assemelha muito com a modalidade do bhop no cs:surf. quem gosta de parkour, ambiente pique hlf2, vai gostar desse jogo só achei um pouco repetitivo, mas é por experiencia propia, fora isso, jogo fenomenal. 9/10
very fun and amazing movement
+Amazing vibes +Competitive leaderboard +Runs well on any pc -It can get dark -You might get motion sick 8/10 would recommend a flashlight
Super fun. Highly recommend. Satisfying but hard to get good at. I wish there were more main levels but definitely fun to get faster at them over and over.
yeah the parkour gameplay is great and the feeling of momentum is a lot of fun but it's the art design and the soundtrack that intrigues me about this game. I have only played 6 levels yet but I haven't felt so immersed in a game for a very long time. The melancholic vibe of Vholume is so strong that I had to take a break and write this review because I literally started to feel slightly sad while playing it. The atmosphere of this game is messing with my head and I love it. I feel like I will chase exactly this experience for the rest of my life. This game is art in its purest form
