Absolutely loved the game. Definitely a unique approach at horror/puzzle game. Looking forward to more content 😃
https://youtu.be/Yc0FM6LtOPs Pretty interesting game! You basically sit behind a pc trying to solve several puzzles. Nothing really scary happens though, at least as far as I saw. i didn't finish the game yet, because I couldn't find the login codes to the killmachine, but the game was fun enough to want to come back and try to figure it out. Не плохой хоррор, жаль только что очень мало времени дается между появлением монстра и нет никак признаков... то есть нормально вчитаться в текст на компьютере возможности нет... https://youtu.be/6Krx8Y45b4Y
awesome game i really like how the 2 entities in a way work together, although i found the game to be a bit too easy? like yes my first play-though i have died several time but that was because i didn't know what to do so i was stuck in a stalemate with the pumpking. speaking of the pumpking, this game kinda reminds me of their succesors, like fnaf and poppy playtime. to be honest the gameplay looks in a way more like "welcome to the game" however the fact that you have the mascot character stalking you and attack you from really close and the way to defend yourself, kinda reminds me how fnaf 4 works. i also said poppy playtime because i have seen the pumpkin design, and it really looks like boxy boo (even my brother asked me why boxy had a pumpkin on his head). however i feel the character have so much potential and i would love to see a redesign one day, also for most of the game play there are vents everywhere, however they were never been utilised, and honestly i would love to see someone using the top vent looking down at you from there. the music is pretty good... for the times i have heard it... like there are like a few ost, all of them bangers, however pretty short and few. the coding however, it could be upgraded, a few people i have seen playing the game (including myself) found a few bugs, like not triggering the lights turning off for the first time or simply skipping half of the game by installing the killmachine as soon as you enter the game. also since the pumpkin is coded in a way that when you look at the computer it doesnt spawn it is pretty easy to just look in that direction and the player enters in a stale mate with the enemy, making your own type of pause. just by adding a flash light battery system could help that (also it could make it more scary since you could possibly remove the only way to defend yourself) the puzzles are good, however like i said the first time that you play the game it would be hard understanding that you have to use the random website in the game and change the web url in the game. other then that i give a 7/10 for this game, the ideas are good and for a 1 person job this game was pretty well made. i seriusly enjoyed it xP
Fajny Motyw Rozwiązujesz coś na Komputerze a z drugiej strony musisz uważać zeby Dyniowy Potwór cie nie złapał. Old schoolowe Komputery Im dłuższa rozgrywka tym bardziej trzeba uważać Polecam ^^
A wonderfully eerie, clever, and masterfully tense indie horror-puzzle game that breathes fresh new life into the classic OS-simulation genre! Sitting at a dark desk, text-hacking through encrypted database files to uncover the cryptic secrets of the Vessel Blue corporation while being glued to your chair is every bit as exhilarating and anxiety-inducing as it sounds. The atmospheric retro visual design and the claustrophobic desk layout capture that magical, high-energy analog horror thriller vibe flawlessly. What truly elevates the gameplay loop is the frantic multitasking dynamic: balancing intricate code-breaking on your monitor with constantly looking over your shoulder to scare away a terrifying, lurking Pumpkin Man creates an incredibly rewarding reflex check. Decrypting mysterious company documents while managing your desperate survival path keeps your deductive reflexes working at absolute maximum capacity. It is the absolute perfect, light-hearted yet moody single-player gem for a quick 15-minute tension check, mastering computer terminal puzzles under pressure, and enjoying pure indie survival creativity—all for the grand price of absolutely free! A brilliant, tightly focused narrative puzzle experiment that is a must-play for any fan of atmospheric desktop horror. Definitely recommended!
Bu Hayatta Kalma, Korku, Bulmaca Oyununda HAREKET EDEMEZSİNİZ! Bilgisayarınızla bulmacaları çözerken, kendinizi kötü bir balkabağı canavarına karşı savunmalısınız. Nesneleri inceleyin, belgeleri okuyun, bilgisayarınızla etkileşime geçin ve yakalanmamaya çalışın.
A great taste for what could potentially be a huge hit of a game. In its current state, the game feels a bit short, and checking behind you feels more like a monotonous chore in the later half of the game, but that can be overlooked simply because it's a free game that plays genuinely well. Some of the puzzles are a bit straightforward, particularly for an avid puzzler like myself, but a couple did have me stumped for a bit. I hope that the plan is to add more content (potentially a paid full release), as it feels like the current game has support for that (example:
unused vents
) I also think making the enemy become a bit more challenging over time would be beneficial, as in my first playthrough I never died simply because I just kept checking over my shoulder every few seconds. All in all, this is a solid game to kill an hour or two, especially since it's free. I'd definitely consider paying for a fully fleshed out version. Only bug I encountered in my entire playthrough was that after clicking to replay the game, I noticed my camera felt "out of rotation." Panning left and right would tilt at an angle, making some objects like the desk drawer completely unable to be interacted with since the rotation made them not in the center of my view. As an aside, I did notice what seems like a potential soft lock:
if you don't pay attention to the page talking about the username policy change, and then the network goes down, you have no way to actually progress since you can't log into VBlue if you don't know the username, and can't find the username if the network goes down. I might have missed if there's a way to fix the network to access the e/ pages, but if not, then I think you're SOL if you miss writing down the change in login--I did my first time playing through.
Also, little gameplay nitpick:
the keyboard you inspect has the Y and Z keys flipped around on it, so I thought that would make sense to make the Q+Y combo actually require the player to hit Q+Z on their keyboard (since that would be the "Y" key on the in-game keyboard.) Not sure if this was intended to make it to gameplay and just missed, but I thought I was being big-brained trying to get that combo to work only for it to just be the straight Q+Y combo as asked.
not bad, short playtime
