Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Verlet Ascend is an ambitious blend of roguelike action and physics-based platforming that challenges players to conquer a towering world through agility, experimentation, and persistence. Developed by Sagewind Studio and published by Stratera Games, the game distinguishes itself with a traversal system built around grappling, swinging, and momentum rather than conventional jumping mechanics. Every ascent feels like a test of both mechanical skill and creative problem-solving, encouraging players to constantly refine their movement techniques while adapting to new situations. Instead of presenting a fixed path to victory, the game embraces procedural generation, ensuring that every climb offers fresh layouts, unexpected hazards, and different opportunities to explore. The heart of the experience lies in its movement system, which is powered by realistic rope physics. Mastering the grappling hook is essential, as players must swing across dangerous gaps, recover from near-fatal mistakes, and chain together fluid movements to maintain momentum. The controls reward precision without feeling overly restrictive, making successful navigation genuinely satisfying. Unlike many platformers that rely solely on memorization, Verlet Ascend asks players to understand how speed, timing, and momentum interact. This creates a rewarding learning curve where improvement comes from developing real skill rather than simply unlocking stronger abilities. Combat is woven naturally into the climbing experience instead of existing as a separate feature. As players push higher, they encounter hostile creatures that demand quick reactions while navigating challenging terrain. Defeating enemies rewards valuable loot that contributes to character progression, giving each expedition a tangible sense of growth. The roguelike structure means that even unsuccessful runs contribute toward future success through accumulated upgrades and unlocks. This steady progression encourages repeated attempts without making the experience feel repetitive, as changing environments and enemy placements continually introduce new challenges. One of the game's most interesting mechanics is its destructible world. Rather than treating the environment as a static obstacle course, Verlet Ascend allows players to alter portions of the landscape, opening alternative routes or eliminating obstacles during a run. Combined with procedural level generation, this feature keeps exploration engaging and encourages experimentation. Players are rewarded for thinking creatively instead of following a single intended path, making each ascent feel personal and unpredictable. The combination of environmental interaction, fluid traversal, and randomized layouts gives the game impressive replay value, especially for players who enjoy optimizing routes and discovering new strategies. Visually, the game adopts a clean and functional art direction that prioritizes readability during fast-paced gameplay. The environments are designed to support rapid movement, ensuring important objects, hazards, and grappling points remain easy to identify even during chaotic moments. While it may not compete with graphically extravagant releases, its presentation serves the gameplay exceptionally well. Smooth animations and responsive controls reinforce the feeling of momentum, making every successful swing, leap, and landing feel earned. The sound design also complements the action with effects that emphasize movement and combat without becoming distracting. Verlet Ascend succeeds because it confidently builds its identity around physics-driven gameplay rather than following established platforming conventions. Its grappling mechanics, destructible environments, procedural generation, and roguelike progression combine to create a gameplay loop that remains engaging across repeated runs. The demanding movement system may require patience from newcomers, but those willing to invest time into mastering its mechanics will discover a rewarding and highly replayable adventure. While the minimalist presentation may not appeal to everyone, the strength of its core gameplay more than compensates for its simplicity. For players who enjoy challenging action platformers that reward experimentation, precision, and steady improvement, Verlet Ascend delivers a memorable climb that is well worth experiencing.
