One of the better VR games I've played. It feels like a fun combination of Pistol Whip, Robo Recall, Superhot and action movies. The soundtrack is awesome. The combat is pretty fun and it's very active. Requires a lot of ducking, dodging, leaning, aiming The mission design is really fun too, some really fun missions here
I've been actively trying not to review a game by calling it "Like _____ except", but sometimes the devs deliberately make a game that's impossible not to compare to something else so: Vendetta Forever is like Superhot except time slows when your hand is pointing at a weapon dropped by an enemy, until you stop pointing at it or grab the gun which will then teleport you to where that enemy was(ish). It's very much a puzzle shooter thing that tests your reflexes and forces you to adapt to situations. Some of the levels are simply tests of reflexes or a shootout, while most are set up almost like a pinball machine with your teleporting, time slowing murder frenzy as the pinball. The style of the game is great too. It also visually compares itself to superhot with bright, solid colors and your enemys being the fighting polygon team. I think the best part, though, is the theming of a lot of the levels. There's levels based on popculture like the Matrix or Indiana Jones, ones where you are in space or on a plane, or my favorite one where you are a cowboy chasing a lit fuse of dynamite. They are extremely clever and don't all require the same approach to complete, which is great design imo. Music's good too. Fit the style of the game and had me hype enough to keep that one more try energy going. The only real downside is really one I keep running into with VR games. It took me all of 5~ hours to beat every level on normal. So if you're like me and you probably aren't going to go back and find all the hidden tapes or play every level on Extreme, that's up to you if it's worth your money. Though tbh I say that, but $19.99 is like not even 2 hours of Bowling near me so I think I got my money's worth with Vendetta Forever.
Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the “vox populi” now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, van guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
this game has such a cool premise with some pretty terrible execution, why do you just sometimes not go where the gun dropped like the whole premise of the game would suggest????? why do enemies snap to me when I teleport, isn't the point to throw them off? if not then the teleport mechanic loses all purpose, it just puts you in increasingly worse places, another thing is the random weapons, I get it keeps it fresh, but when I'm trying to get a level down it really throws me off when I expect to get a gun and I get a knife, this game could be SO good, but needs a lot of balancing to make it better
Awesome game. I love a well optimized jump in and jump out kinda vr game and this is perfect for that. On the surface it doesnt seem like its an original game loop but somehow it feels that way in game. I am not a competitive gamer but i do find myself trying to get on the leaderboards. I thought it ran well and played great for a jump in and jump out, not too long loading vr game. Genuinely good vr game. played on oculus pro plugged into msi laptop 3070
Super super fun, for sure worth it if you own VR headset.
only game thats been comparable to superhot VR
really does not flow like super hot
Well damn that was an - Amazing game !!! If you like super hot and pistol whip, then this is the game for you. Especially when you master the slow mo maneuver. I feel LIKE A GOD!!!!! 10/10 worth 20 bucks duh
