I enjoyed this game, which is a sort of cross between 'escape the room' and Myst style exploration. On the whole the puzzles are fairly logical, and one or two are quite easy. BUT, I found a couple totally baffling - even when I obtained the solution from a walk-through I did not understand the logic behind them! Generally it is a well made game with attractive 3D graphics, though a hint or two more for those obscure puzzles would be an advantage. The game can be saved at any time, which is a benefit. On the whole, well worth playing.
A not-too-bad escape-room style puzzle game, where solving puzzles unlocks the next area, and usually locks the last one behind you. In that sense, progression in Venari is very linear. The majority of the puzzles are of the type where you need to enter a code or somehow activate a sequence of symbols. The correct sequence is always hinted at somewhere nearby i.e. in the same "area" using the parlance of the first sentence of this review. Most of the codes were easy to figure out from the clues - though you may need to search for the clue which could be hidden in some way, although some clues are very prominently visible. Finding hidden clues is half the fun, The other half of the fun comes in where sometimes you need to "decode" the clue, as it may not be obvious at first as to how it relates to the symbols you activate. There were three instances that I recall that I could not properly decode the clues, even though I knew for sure to which puzzle they corresponded. Fortunately, I found the walkthrough on YouTube and was able to learn the correct sequence to enter. After learning of the solutions, in two of those cases I thought the clues were insufficient or unfair. In the third case I was still left baffled as to how the clues were decoded into the sequence to be entered. Perhaps it was case where I needed to find another clue that helped with the decode of the first clue. The scenery was detailed and fairly pretty as can be seen in the screenshots. Overall it was a pleasant experience, despite the issues I had with some of the puzzles.
With little exception, this was an extremely easy walking simulation. Each puzzle's full solution was almost always just a step or two away, so all that was needed was to refer back to it. There were couple cases, though, where I'm still not sure how I progressed, as the "clue" was so obtuse to me that I hit upon the answer by sheer luck, I think. The triangle puzzle, for example, didn't adhere to what the clue suggested, but I guess I hit the correct answer. The graphics were nice and it was easy to maneuver through the game, but there really wasn't much challenge to the puzzles.
Cheap, asset-flippy presentation that feels terrible to move around within + poorly designed puzzles that couldn't possibly have been play tested by anyone who didn't work on the game. The answers required for some of these puzzles are buried under multiple layers of moon logic filtered through each other. And since the areas you're placed into are so tiny and you only have one thing to work on at a time, it's hard not to get frustrated extremely quickly
Another great game by M9games. The puzzles can be challenging and you just need patience...and the developer is very kind with hints when asked :) Don't overthink the puzzles. The story flows, the art work is beautiful and the soundscape is relaxing. I highly recommend this game, and after you have finished it just go back in, sit on the rocks and listen to the waves..
A to mamy skrzynkę, w której wciskami kierunki strzałek, a to trzeba odpowiednio ustawić dźwignie, w odpowiedniej kolejności wcisnąć przyciski, ułożyć klocki itp. Venari to przyzwoita gra.
Yeah this is not it. Bland, uninspired puzzle design. They are either ridiculously trivial or require weird, random logic leaps to solve, theres no in between. 80% of the puzzles work like this: the solution is written on a plank, rock, or a ruin, which you have to input somewhere to progress. Gets boring really fast. The moving parts look very cheap, clipping though the enviroment and objects, the game generally feels like it was haphazardly, amateurishly cobbled together with little to no care and time directed towards visually polishing the product. This is apparently the 10th game of the dev. If this is really the best they got after years of experience, I am definitely not interested in their other titles.
sadly this is the worst one by this dev. i like all the other ones even though they were not as graphically good as this one. the game play of this one is also simple but some puzzles made no sense. also this one made my eyes hurt. not sure what kind of magic it has. i do not recommend this one. not even on sale.
nice fairly easy puzzle game but the ending was just abrupt and lacking. i got this for a few dollars, worth that for a casual puzzle game.
