hidden gem! this game looks gorgeous and plays even more gorgeous. its a speedrun style platformer like meat boy, but a mechanics based one like celeste. the controls are tricky, but you'll get used to them quick enough. plus, pixel anime girl go weeeeeeeee
https://youtu.be/s5zrPYoDzG4 Lacking in contrast between foreground and background elements makes for levels that are much harder to read than is likely intended for players learning the mechanics.
Good pickup when on sale. It's a series of short but fun platforming challenges, with some tight but doable time challenges. Pro tip: use a controller, and use Steam's controller settings to unbind L3: sliding on controller can be a bit frustrating, but was absolutely infuriating when accidental L3 clicks kept bringing up the pause menu instead.

This game is great, gotta play more of it! It's a speedrunner's game. Go as fast as you can and look stylish doing it.
Fun and challenging. Reminds me of games like Celest and those trial and error types of games. Good level design and charming pixelart, soundtrack is kinda forgetable but not bad, just good enough as background noise. The game is not too short nor too long, just the right playtime in my opinion. I played it in stream and I was able to finish it in 2 to 3 hours (counting the time I was stuck in some more difficult parts). And yeah, there is one or another part I thought was kinda unfair, but in the end I was able to overcome it so you can beat it if you try hard enough. Only complain is that sometimes the game would drop FPS for no apparent reason, but that was only in like, one or two levels. Overall the game is a one sitting fun and challenging experience. And thank you Shotgun Anaconda for the review code, really appreciate it! <3
This game is pretty good! I picked it up without knowing anything but platforming was involved. The graphics are really good, and the dialogue is fun. My only gripe is that sometimes I couldn't make the character do what I wanted. It felt partly skill issue, and partly some unresponsiveness, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the game. It's short, about an hour for me to go through all three chapters, but I also play a lot of precision platformers, so maybe 2-3 hours for someone who doesn't spend all their time on these types of games.
Solid platformer with rockin' jams. I ran into a couple major issues that if resolved would greatly improve the game: 1.) Double Jumping is extremely inconsistent during many actions such as wall jumping or riding a boost chain up or sideways. 2.) Sliding requiring the player to press down + right or left also leads to some inconsistency and fully disables if you bump into the wall. Allowing the player to slide while against the wall or by pressing down would resolve this. 3.) The stage 2 boss is very wonky and overly aggressive for where it is located in the game pretty much forcing the player to gold the stage to win.
We're huge fans of precision platformers, and Velocity Noodle pushes the genre to its limits. You can't help but feel like the most badass of badasses every time you make it through a level, and navigating is fast past and tons of fun! Love the scifi aesthetic, and the game itself is dripping with charm. A fantastic experience that any lover of precision platformers should check out!
This is a really neat game. It's a fast paced precision platformer with a good sense of humor. It's also very unique design philosophy. It's not a combat game, It's all about the platforming. It can be a little glitchy. And there are some levels where I have no idea how to get the gold cup.
Many months ago I got as a gift "Remnants of Naezith" another "Precision Platformer". I didn't wanna leave a gift just as a +1 in my library, so I played it. And it was painful. But each day I was drawn to try another time again. Thill after 34 painful hours I beat it. And I thought to myself: "I'm never playing a Precision Platformer game ever again". Now a week ago, I saw a nice bundle that had another game I was interested in. But somehow, something compels me to instead of playing that game first, Ffor some reason I decide to play the "Precision Platformer". And it's not like I'm gonna start playing more "Precision Platformer" games now. It was just that "Velocity Noodle" actually looks nice. And once I started playing it, I discovered, that it also feels nice to play. Each of the three chapters concludes with a slightly painful level. But the rest is just slightly challenging, enough to not bore me or neither feel much frustration. The best part of the game are the controls in my opinion, and I would love a similar game with less "Pixel Perfect" challenges and more "Action Combat Boss" challenges, witch this game as non, but even so didn't stop me from enjoying my time playing it.
