Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Vanguard Exiles is a competitive auto-battler card game designed by Richard Garfield (legendary game designer of Magic: The Gathering), bringing his signature philosophy of strategic depth, meaningful choices, and emergent gameplay into a fast-paced digital battleground.
In your role as General, every match challenges you to outthink and outmanoeuvre your opponents whilst unpredictable zones reshape the battlefield, driving ongoing tactical adaptation.
Unlike traditional auto-battlers, Vanguard Exiles emphasizes player agency where victory is determined by how well you:
Discover card synergies/interactions within each unique Squad
Evaluate card selection and deployment each round
Unleash your Vanguard's potential through your choices
Manage and leverage Zone effects in an evolving battlefield
Anticipate your opponent’s strategies
Re-evaluate your tactics throughout the game
Your decisions matter, rewarding long-term planning and Squad mastery.
The battlefield is in a state of flux, as emerging zones introduce game-changing modifiers and obstacles. Players must continuously adapt their strategy as the environment evolves, a hallmark of Richard Garfield games. No two matches are the same; each game unfolds its own unique challenges that shape every strategic decision.
Head-to-head PvP matches
Strategy-driven outcomes
High replay value through Faction and Unit variety
Designed for players who enjoy thinking several moves ahead
The world has fallen. In the wake of a global cataclysm, survival has reshaped everything, including allegiances. Old enmities have faded, replaced by alliances forged out of necessity. Technology and magic now coexist in a dieselpunk landscape where domination is the only path forward.
Across this shattered world, survivors band together into Squads, aiming to reclaim lost territory and carve out a future from the ruins. For this, it’s more than a matter of strength. A General is needed to lead their Squad, with the instincts and foresight to outthink every rival who stands in their way.
That General is you.

This game is awesome. There's a lot of strategy. It's made by the guy who made the greatest game ever played. I trust it will go in a good direction. Someone get this game out to the masses.
LOVE THIS GAME!! And the team is planning to add another faction and other stuff along the way. The game as it is is very good, I recommend it, but knowing there are going to be even more stuff makes me recommend it even more.
New to auto-battlers, but I thought I'd give the game a go. I was pleasently suprised, the combat was suprisingly satisfying once you get the hang of it and the pacing of each of rounds is works really well. I love that you can change the speed of the round playthroughs. I also like the selection of unit cards that you can purchase, per round. It really makes you think about the tatics you want to employ in the next round. It's a very easy game to get lost in and get's infinetly more challenging once you're in PVP mode and are trying to guess your opponents moves ahead of time. For anyone looking for a great little stratery/tatic game definetly give it a go.

Richard's unique take on the Autobattler is not quite like anything else I've played, but the through-line in the exploration of algorithmic decks from Keyforge and Solforge Fusion is clear and it's great fun to get in on the ground floor and see the game grow and develop.
Needs better art/graphics.
Très bon jeu ! Un mélange de deck building et de conquête de territoire assez prenant ! On voudrait même qu'une partie dure un peu plus longtemps ! En tout cas ça promet, hâte de voir comment le jeu va s'améliorer sur le long terme.
Great fun game. Lots of improvements sinse it first released the Demo. Devs are active and working on it. Look forward to seeing where this game goes.
EDIT: I have played the game less and less and I feel like it is due to having had back luck for a streak. I usually run the statistics and I lost that one time too often to a 2%er. Oh well. All I can say it feels exceedingly bad to lose with the superior strategy (measured by a positive outcome being more likely/most likely). I have no real idea how to "fix" this, I am just starting to feel like the game maybe after all isn't for me. ___ Original Review, slightly shortened (because of patches to the game): Very good "rogue"-ish strategy autobattler game so far! Feels like an automated board game, there are so many angles which influence your decisionmaking, it is very fun if you like to strategize more than actually playing. As an Magic the Gathering player, I prefer the drafting/deckbuilding experience over the playing the deck. If that seems weird to you, this game might not scratch your itch. So far I have only played VS the AI to learn the mechanics, interactions and such and I have had a blast learning how it works and what to predict. The "run 100 simulations" button afterwards is a blessing! You can find out if you just lost because of a very unlucky streak of things, or if you had the solid strategy and would have won 70% (or whatever) of the 100 fights with your and the opponents setup locked in and the "rolls" of the battles, initiative and dodge for example are generated 100 times by AI and presented to you as a graphic. So awesome! I also love the randomness of the squads you can recruit very much, feels like playing a sealed draft of sorts.
Richard Garfield designs abstract basketball. Love it. Very much a game of runs and building momentum. First to 100 wins. Lots of making the best of your choices and adjusting to what the opp throws at you and what you can afford off the bench. I'd play this as a board game if it were possible though I admit it would be near impossible to play as a board game due to all the initiatives, abilities and buffs/debuffs. A very apt use of the concept/platform.
The game has real potential. Each run feels fun to play, and I'm excited to try out more squad types.
