Короткая история о ночном клубе, который принадлежит вампирам. Просто наслаждаться крошечным миром этого клуба. История рассказывается с нескольких точек зрения персонажей.
RUS Изометрическая текстовая point & click адвенчура на тему вампиров прямиком из вселенной World of Darkness. ENG Isometric text point & click vampire-themed adventure game straight out of the World of Darkness universe. The "game" was created within a month as part of a competition, which explains a lot, but players are rarely interested in the background of the project. What's the gameplay? At certain points, controlling 2 different characters, you walk around a nightclub, poke into objects, communicate with everyone, and read a lot of dialogue text and spatial descriptions. The minimal gameplay presence was assigned to compensate for the regular graphomaniac, who filled all the voids with an exorbitant amount of text. If you are not ready to read a lot, then you definitely have nothing to do here. The developers were clearly inspired by Disco Elysium, because a significant part of the text refers to inner voices. Sometimes you can choose skill checks, but skills cannot be upgraded or changed in any way. And successful "checks" seem to happen according to the plot. All this is complemented by the lack of a save system. If for some reason you were forced to interrupt your course, start from the beginning. And yes, the characters are physically unable to run or accelerate in any way. As a result, we got an under-RPG that really wants to seem like it. Its free price and the background of Vampire The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby does not justify it. With all the love for the World of Darkness universe and vampires in particular, you can only recommend this craft to very stubborn fans or players with extra time. Everyone else should move on.

Great short point and click.
How I wish this gem of a demo would be funded and developed enough to be its own fully-fledged game. The story beats are excellent, the dice mechanics from Disco Elysium are well-implemented here, giving players a smart feel of the origin ttrpg itself, and the dialogue is quite well-written; everything is clearly a labour of love. Well, give this demo a go, it deserves your time for what it is right now.
Pros - Perfect VTM vibes - Made in 24 hours for a game jam, but feels smooth and has some very well crafted story beats - Crpg style gameplay that makes me want more, I would love to see a continuation - Free! Cons - Bite sized. It's around an hour long
So, I was in a VTM starved state when I came upon this, and i get it a shot, firstly, the positives: 1. The game definitely captures the World of Darkness vibe and I am all about that 2. The story was pretty good 3. It left me wanting more 4. I loved the gameplay style, very Disco Elysium with its methods And sadly, the negatives: 1. (Not really a negative to harp about) It's short, it's 45mins - 1 hour tops, but you get your experience out of it, so I can ignore this 2. It's slow. Not the pacing, but the character speed. I get the game isn't long, but it's an annoyance when the stiff undead walk faster than you, and it almost feels like character movement is deliberately slow to extend gameplay. 3. I like a good power fantasy... but there were barely opportunities to use your Disciplines in the game, which is a shame, but I get that the game wasn't aiming for that. Overall, short experience, it costs nothing, left me wanting more of a game like it, so I enjoyed myself.
Bof, l'univers est intéressant mais les graphiques et le gameplay beaucoup moins.
Less of a CRPG, more of a Point & Click adventure. With very little in the way of choice, it's frustratingly slow. I want a VtM CRPG, and hopefully we'll get one someday! Buuut this little game jam project isn't really worth the time.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Heartless Lullaby is a narrative-focused roleplaying game set within the dark and morally decaying universe of the World of Darkness. Despite its relatively short length and smaller development scale, the game succeeds at capturing the atmosphere, emotional conflict, and political tension that define the Vampire: The Masquerade setting. Rather than focusing on combat-heavy gameplay or large open-world exploration, Heartless Lullaby centers almost entirely around dialogue, roleplaying decisions, and character-driven storytelling. The result is an intimate supernatural drama filled with manipulation, emotional vulnerability, and the constant fear of losing one’s humanity in a world ruled by predators. The story follows two protagonists whose lives gradually become intertwined through the dangerous politics of vampire society. Zak begins as an ordinary human slowly drawn into the hidden world operating beneath the surface of the city, while Diane is a Toreador vampire struggling with her fading humanity and the brutal realities of immortal existence. The dual perspective structure works extremely well because it allows players to experience both sides of the World of Darkness simultaneously. Zak’s viewpoint emphasizes confusion and vulnerability, while Diane’s storyline explores the emotional exhaustion and moral compromise that come with surviving as a vampire. One of the game’s strongest qualities is its atmosphere. Heartless Lullaby captures the oppressive and seductive tone of Vampire: The Masquerade remarkably well. The city feels dangerous even during quiet moments, with every nightclub, alleyway, and private meeting carrying an undercurrent of tension. Conversations often feel just as threatening as physical violence because characters constantly manipulate, deceive, and test one another beneath layers of politeness and political calculation. The game understands that the horror of the setting comes less from monsters themselves and more from the emotional and moral decay hiding underneath supernatural society. The writing is consistently engaging throughout most of the experience. Dialogue feels natural while still carrying the dramatic intensity expected from gothic supernatural fiction. Characters rarely feel one-dimensional, and even secondary figures possess their own agendas, loyalties, and hidden motivations. Diane stands out particularly well because her internal conflict becomes one of the emotional anchors of the story. Her attempts to balance predatory instincts with lingering traces of empathy create some of the game’s strongest moments. Zak also works effectively as a protagonist because his gradual exposure to the hidden vampire world mirrors the player’s own growing understanding of the setting. Roleplaying systems, while relatively lightweight, help make conversations feel meaningful. Dialogue choices influence relationships, reveal hidden information, and occasionally determine the direction of key scenes. The game incorporates tabletop-inspired skill checks and character attributes in ways that reinforce immersion without becoming overly complicated. Players often feel forced to weigh honesty, manipulation, diplomacy, and intimidation carefully during tense interactions because the wrong approach can create dangerous consequences. Visually, Heartless Lullaby adopts a striking monochrome art style with selective bursts of color used to emphasize blood, lighting, or emotionally important details. This presentation gives the game a unique identity while perfectly complementing the bleak atmosphere of the World of Darkness. The environments feel cold and emotionally drained, reinforcing the themes of isolation and moral corruption running throughout the narrative. Even though the game lacks high-end graphical complexity, the art direction is strong enough to create a memorable visual experience. The soundtrack and audio design contribute heavily to immersion as well. Ambient music, nightclub sounds, quiet tension during conversations, and subtle environmental effects constantly reinforce the feeling that danger is never far away. The audio rarely overwhelms the narrative, instead quietly supporting the emotional and atmospheric tone of each scene. Another impressive aspect is how approachable the game remains for newcomers unfamiliar with Vampire: The Masquerade lore. Information about clans, factions, supernatural politics, and vampire traditions emerges gradually through natural conversation and storytelling rather than overwhelming exposition dumps. Longtime fans of the setting will appreciate the authenticity of the worldbuilding, while newer players can still follow the narrative comfortably without extensive background knowledge. The pacing remains focused throughout most of the game because the relatively short runtime prevents unnecessary filler. The story moves steadily through political conflicts, emotional revelations, and supernatural mysteries without losing momentum. Multiple endings and branching dialogue choices also encourage replayability by rewarding players who want to explore different character approaches and outcomes. However, the game’s smaller scale becomes noticeable fairly quickly. Heartless Lullaby often feels like the beginning of a much larger RPG rather than a fully realized standalone experience. The world, characters, and mechanics hint at enormous potential, but the short runtime limits how deeply many ideas are explored. Technical roughness is also present in several areas. Character animations are limited, some scenes feel visually static during extended conversations, and interface design remains fairly simple. Certain moments reveal the constraints of the project’s smaller budget, particularly during transitions and environmental interactions. Players expecting traditional RPG combat or large-scale exploration may also find the gameplay too passive. Heartless Lullaby is fundamentally a dialogue-driven narrative experience where conversation and atmosphere matter far more than action systems or mechanical complexity. Those looking for combat-heavy vampire gameplay may feel disappointed by the limited interactivity outside roleplaying choices. The ending may also feel abrupt for some players. While the narrative itself remains emotionally engaging, the relatively short structure leaves several story elements and character arcs feeling only partially explored. There is a lingering sense that the game’s world could easily support a much larger and deeper experience. What ultimately makes Heartless Lullaby memorable is how faithfully it captures the emotional core of Vampire: The Masquerade. The game understands that the setting is not simply about vampires and supernatural powers but about loneliness, moral compromise, emotional decay, and the desperate struggle to preserve identity within a predatory society. That understanding gives the story a strong sense of authenticity despite its limited scale. Vampire: The Masquerade – Heartless Lullaby is a stylish and emotionally engaging narrative RPG that delivers a compelling supernatural story filled with political intrigue, moral ambiguity, and gothic atmosphere. Although its shorter runtime and limited scope prevent it from reaching the depth of larger roleplaying games, its strong writing, memorable visual identity, and faithful adaptation of the World of Darkness universe make it a rewarding experience for fans of narrative-driven supernatural storytelling. Unlikeable PC, slow movespeed, not fun.
