About
Vampire Syndicate: Gangs of MoonFall is an old-school, narrative-driven RPG set amidst the vampire-dominated gangs of a cyberpunk city. As a Familiar of one of the ancient vampire lineages, you have been tasked by your undead masters to expand their criminal empire.
A story of blood, tears and sighs - The vampires of MoonFall are different from the ones you may be used to. While all vampires are undead and must drink blood, how vampirism is spread, and the array of powers a new vampire gains, will vary depending on the lineage. Each lineage is, in effect, a different “species” of vampire and the lineage that the player chooses will alter story events, making each playthrough with a specific lineage have its own unique quirks.

Old-School cRPG: Featuring turn-based combat, character creation, classes, skill checks, etc!
Erotic Entertainment: Vampires are sexual creatures, expect opportunities for casual sex or long-term romances.
Choice and Consequence: Faction reputations, NPC loyalties, dynamic world states, multiple story routes.
Hub-based Overworld: Explore a massive cyberpunk island city-state.
Immersive First and Third-person view: switch seamlessly between FPV and TPV.
Narrative Focus: Step into a setting with deep worldbuilding and characters. Expect a lot of reading.
The player character starts off as an unaffiliated street mercenary, but is quickly introduced to the vampiric underworld. In order to rise in the dark hierarchy, they must curry favor with their new masters, accomplish great deeds, and otherwise prove themselves in the Uzakh Drucah.
The ultimate prize of the player’s undying service is to be reborn as a vampire. Immortal, powerful, and the ultimate predator masquerading as a human.
Decide the fate of the Uzakh Drucah
The four major surviving vampire lineages find themselves at a crossroads. Their sins have returned to haunt them. It is a time of prophecy and heroes, and for you, that means a chance to make your mark on the world.
Crime pays
As the name suggests, the player’s main activity in Vampire Syndicate is to conduct criminal activities for their lineage faction. With the exception of a few rules, the player is offered complete freedom in how they go about this, and can complete missions or contracts using whatever method they prefer.
Adult content
Vampires are inherently sexual creatures, and during the course of the game, the player will have ample opportunities for casual sex or pursue long-term romances. Expect explicit sexual content.

So first off saying I do not recommend is only because there is no inbetween. The game is okay There are so many things that need to happen first before I could say its in a playable state. NPC/Character interactions are beyond stiff they are very simple I get where it is going but there is no life in it. Talking to any of the npcs or characters felt like washing your self with sand paper. The dialogue needs serious reworking. Ishtur the elf felt so dull and lifless I get she is a high born noble but I expected witty, intelligent conversation with vague responses or sweetened words hiding a double talk that is notable of a politician making veiled promises. What I got was something I expect of a kids cartoon princess dialogue. The combat is really bare no impact or weight just hollow and simplistic I love tactics and utilizing the environment but there is nothing to do this with. Cover is pointless as its is so sparse that your better off going melee with as much speed and initiative as possible so you can rush. Enemies that look armored or slightly armored dont care about AP or non AP attacks just smack them. Guns are really powerful unless you have a melee swarm group that can just swarm, them and action economy them to death. This needs so much more work. The Progression tree is very limited and unweildly like it hints to more depth but there is none. NPC portraits are just card board cut outs there is nothing they look plastic and repugnant. the Elf is suppose to be beautiful but she is plain and boring yea she in skimpy clothes but that means nothing when you forget she exsists. Being attractive is a matter of opinion but to me is a combination of clothing, how they carry themselves, conversation, accenting jewlery, subtle makeup to highlight and accentuate specific feature face and body. Take for instance Shadow heart, or Miyabi for ZZZ, there are plenty of examples that show how this can be achieved. I am aware this is early access I am not hating this game because I want to I would like it to succeed. I am trying to provide what I can to help as there is a foundation here that could work. Vampires, Cyber augments, AI, Machines, scifi all are a great combo even elves dwarves and so on. I just hope this gets revamped before it falls.
Doesn't scale to your level.
As much as I was excited for this game, unfortunately it is not ready at all, even to be a early access release. with more time it could be something great but there is soooo much missing even for a EA release. barely any content and majority of the assets are missing. for example in the trailers your doing combat in a cyberpunk street, but in the game your in a blank white room with a few crates and shelves (also blank and untextured). This is a tech demo atm, but i do wish the developer all the best as its a great idea just not ready to be sold yet. on a side note, this is not a criticism about the dev. I really do believe hes sitting on a potential goldmine here, I just dont think in its current state its ready for sale and needs more time in the oven. I also have to commend him for how vocal he is with the community in a very professional way and takes feedback. I might definately try this again at a later date. I did put in a refund request at first but from the context, idea and vision of the game i cancelled it as I remember that my purchase goes toward supporting the project and I really would like to give the dev my support. Even though I cant recommend the game in its current state, I would still advise that if you want to support the project, please do so even if it means you buy now for the investment and play later. for that I will still give it a thumbs up. P.S. please add a colour slider for hair lol ;-)
Buy if you want to support the developer. Listen, just buy Memoirs of a Battle Brothel to get an idea of the setting, characters, and factional interplay this game has the ambition to replicate and expand on from the Developer's previous game. You won't regret buying it, especially if you don't mind the mature sexual themes. The sexual themes are naturally part of the setting's contextual content. Right now it's too early to expect a finished game, but if you want to support the developer, go ahead and make the purchase, but I think another playthrough of Memoirs of a Battle Brothel is worth it.
This game is still in very early access and very barebones in many ways. However, there's a ton of potential (there always is at Early Access, eh?), and considering the low price tag and small indie developer, I'm quite happy to support this project. There aren't enough games made out of passion and pushing certain boundaries that the AAA studios shy away from. Plus, we can always use MORE vampire games, and even more so considering the steaming turdfest joke known as BL2. Also mixing with cyberpunk is pretty cool. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Just know what you're getting into before jumping in thinking this is a nearly complete game, like a lot of the negative reviews seem to focus on. It's more about supporting the developer with an ambitious project. I'll update this as the game develops...
Specs included, playtime includes long stretches of background idle, though playing quite thoroughly as the combat is surprisingly engaging after figuring it out and trying to Q/A a couple unfortunate bugs, the most egregious of which with skill lockouts was very swiftly corrected. I absolutely dig this vibe, the music is excellent (though you may need to jump into the settings and reduce the volume considerably until it's balanced a little more), the setting is fascinating with mature writing that mercifully lacks the complete ass-pull 'tism speak of modern "adult" games, though it would be nice to have a bit more personal interaction and choice for dialogue as the player, the models service the fans as they should and there's appreciable variation in the characters you interact with. Must again praise the combat for a solo dev jumping from RPG Maker into UE5, as while it by no means punches up to AAA tier, it is quite enjoyable and easy to figure out, though some aspects are not yet represented such as "Shaper" (mage, basically), and Vampirism abilities. But it's an admirable attempt at isometrical turn-based tactics gameplay in a cyberpunk setting, something Shadowrun Returns alumni will be familiar with. There are two arenas with repeatable fights in the Boxtown area that grant both Experience and Cash so you can grind out and quite easily establish yourself to whatever threshold of power you prefer, and it covers the most important aspects of what to expect from combat. Currently 4 "classes" available, which establish a baseline for your character, and currently have 2 unlockable skills each to guide your style of play, with promises for the future to allow intermingling of classes and skills as you wish. Your three companions you start with are an Armiger (melee tank vs. Ranged Attacks), a Deadeye (ranged +Accuracy marksman), and a Tactician (team support + buffer), which leaves the Duelist free (Melee and/or Ranged fast mover with evasion vs. Melee Attacks), though you can go with anything except for maybe Tactician without feeling redundant. And even should you double up on Tacticians, buffs in this game *stack* meaning you can get rather powerful if you keep them going. The sex is currently limited, entirely optional and, for now, with female partners, though there are no restrictions on your access whether you are a man or woman, and there clearly are a multitude of both female and a somewhat lesser pool of men, though very distinct from one another. Interaction within adult scenes is limited to selecting position type, while each have their own dialogue blurbs from your perspective and your partner's dialogue. Each position is a 3D model loop without personal interaction. Between the combat and story alone, this already comfortable earns my recommendation at its modest price, with fair confidence for the future content that will be made available. We are not yet far enough to adequately gauge this project's dedication to character arc progression / impression due to the character and how they treat each individual member of the cast, though there are intended to be a multitude of relationship "flavors" by the time of release, which as a reminder is slated for 1 - 2 years of Early Access.
lol have YOU been around long enough to know when a game is never going to be completed? I have ;)
看不太懂英文,只玩了一小部分内容,非常有潜力的作品,期待加入中文。
Let the Dev cook. Looking forward for more.
I was really looking forward to this game, so unfortunately, when I saw the sale I bought it without reading the reviews. This would have been a decent demo. $20 for Early Access is not the appropriate way to test a game where nothing is complete or ready for beta testing. This game isn't ready for any kind of testing, as no one can test features that do not exist.
