Wow, this game is dope with a lot of promise. Bravo, dev! Looking forward to even more polishing on this one because it's quite good thus far. If there's one thing I love about games like this, it's that it allows us to equip our villagers with weapons and armor, not only that, but research those weapons and armor first and even craft them. THEN we can control the characters when they are taking a break from the jobs around the settlement to go explore and see what cool mysteries we can find! Love that. We def need more strategy/RPG games like this one, awesome effort dev! <3
This is a fun little game , I would catch it on sale for whats currently being offered. I saw its worth it but comes with some headaches. Pros: Basic building and basic resource gathering. You dont have to make complex resource or manufacturing chains. Its just a simple collect stone , collect iron , collect food. The map is not procedural generated so every game is the same. Which helps you learn where is what. Happiness is present in the game but can be easily managed so as to cause any problems. Cons: The save function does not work properly , will freeze and crash your game. Then when you reload it will reload the previous. I have spent a good chunk of my time redoing things because of this. There is a bug where new members will not be added to villager console so you cant delegate what jobs they preform. This is a hindrance but can be overcome with MIcro Management. There needs to be an ingame accessable help or guide. The map does not update , ever , just means you play on hard mode basically. Overall , I would give this a Mixed meh grade. The issues are able to be overcame , except the save , and the game is fun enough. Just needs polishing.
Sadly this was not a fun game for me to play. Its a basic base building game, everything is very basic. Instead of ore you get bars, instead of food types you get food etc. I did one small farm and one big farm and yet my five starting people are starving to death. If i want to save my people i need to find food to build a farm as farms costs food to build but if i find food my people will eat that food to not starve, its such a dumb system. Farms and other buildings that produce something or is for crafting has a small icon on the right that you can hover over and it will show some icons but you can interact with it. Instead you can either click farming icon to harvest if its farm plot or crafting for crafting. Its all basic stuff, no houses, no roads etc just crafting stations. I would not call it a bad game but its not a good one either, maybe the combat is very this game shines, i am unsure about it but i doubt it. I would not recommend this game right now, maybe if the developer made it less basic and added more buildings to make it feel like a town or village instead of a minor base in the woods. Update, So i played some more and focused on getting food setup and now i ran out of gold as everything cost gold in this game sigh.. You want a iron club crafted? Got to have 75 gold, you want leather armor? Fork over 36 gold etc Second update, Ran out of gold again even tho i started with max gold, so far i can last about 9 days before running out of gold. I could not explore much before my villagers get to damaged to do anything other then working at base. I am clearly doing something wrong here but i see no way out of the hole you spawn in. You can make enough gear for one character and some for a second character. You can do bows for everyone and hope the enemy do not reach you. The dev seem to still be here tho so that is a good sign, if some more work is done on the game it might be worth playing in the future. For now i hope for some balance fixes as the rate you run out of gold is insane, i rather play a game that is easy then a game i cant play at all.
Objectively better than Kenshi because I can actually make ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ progress in the game without being degraded or disrespected.
It's like playing a unfinished demo. There is only one map that you can change some settings and I do mean some.Getting more villages take way to long. No way to see map. Even a minimap would be nice.Setting jobs does not work and they get stuck path finding. All they want to do is worship.
