Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 7.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

VA-11 Hall-A (Which I will refer to simply as Valhalla for the rest of this) is a visual novel style game where you play as a bartender in a cyberpunk world. The gameplay consists solely of conversations with your coworkers and customers, mixing drinks through a simple drag and drop interface, and there is also a small apartment which you can buy items to customize for your character in-game. I don't know why but I've found myself drawn to these simple narrative experiences lately. I really enjoyed the two Coffee Talk games and plan on playing the new Japan-centered one that comes out later this month. I also recently played Slay the Princess and thought that was immensely fascinating. Something about this style of game is just really inspiring to me. Although some people don't like this genre because of the lack of interactivity, I think it's really interesting to be able to have an experience that relies so heavily on the strength of it's writing, but allows for a sort of immersion that you wouldn't get with a novel or a tv show. Valhalla is pretty simplistic in it's presentation but there is a level of variation to some of the character stories depending on your actions. And certain storylines reach some pretty satisfying conclusions that I like. One thing this game does differently from the Coffee Talk series that I really enjoy is that your player character is not nameless, faceless, without backstory. Your character has a face, name, a personality, and a history that informs the story. They cyberpunk worldbuilding is really good. Better than I expected. And it's gotten praise and recognition from OG Cyberpunk luminaries like R Talsorian games, who make the Cyberpunk Red TTRPG and have collaborated with the creators of Valhalla. Since games like this are so heavily reliant on the quality of their writing, it feels refreshing that the writer seems so confident with their story and dialogue choices. Some of it might feel a little juvenile at times, but it works really well for what they're trying to accomplish and the tone of the story and world. Games like this I find particularly inspiring because such a simple premise and design makes game design feel like it's in reach for everyone, and I really love that.
Allow me to preface this by saying that I am still only on the first chapter, so I might update this when I get to beating this gem of a game. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VA-11 Hall-A is a mix between being a bartender and enjoying conversations between the characters. I admit that when I first bought this game, I was enthralled by the pixel-esque graphics, and I bought it today (05/10/2026) on a whim. Allow me to say that that whim was one of the best I have had as when I booted the game up, I was immediately met with some of the best atmosphere and synths I have ever had the pleasure of being blessed with. Garoad, the musician behind this glimmering diamond of a game has made the world inside this game feel so very alive with the upbeat soundtrack which goes along perfectly with the whimsical characters who do NOT feel at all like archetypes. Speaking of characters, they all feel real, no one has said anything that even comes close to feeling generic or like a throwaway line. We have shady reporters who would do anything for a scoop, sex bots coming for a drink before a long day at work, musicians coming in for a drink before their big show... Its all so engaging despite us being a bartender in a shoddy bar. It's like we're the center of any gossip around town, and the story is moving along just with us doing our job. Huh, that's eerily reminscent of reality, isn't it? Regardless though, VA-11 Hall-A is gearing to be one of the best cozy games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Even if more visual novel-esque games are not typically your cup of tea, I still heavily recommend anyone to give this jewel of a game a try. The story, despite us not being active in it (at least so far) is very engaging, and I guarantee the characters themselves will keep you wondering what will happen next, as their personalities are genuine and they all are memorable in their own rights. (My current favorites right now are Donovan and Alma. Donovan is such a piece of ♥♥♥♥ I love him, and Alma is also sleazy but she's also cool.) Also "Drive Me Wild" is the best song in the game (so far) lolz
So simple yet likeable simply trough the character's and dialouge!

This is a masterpiece of the visual novel genre—even as a linear game, it makes you want to play through it all over again. The story is compelling and impactful, the character development is exceptional, and the world-building is mature and well-crafted. The cocktail-mixing system offers plenty of depth, not to mention the outstanding music and art. I’m really looking forward to the sequel.
Absolutely love this game! I actually came from the Coffee Talk games that were probably inspired by VA-11 Hall-A? The gameplay is similar, but VA-11 Hall-A plays more into the cyberpunk aesthetic, which is what the name pointed out. All the character designs were designed with so much love, and I really love the soundtrack! ✧。٩(ˊᗜˋ )و✧*。 Obviously the gameplay is also lots of fun.
Entré sin muchas expectativas a este juego y después de acabarlo se convirtió en una de las experiencias que más me han marcado en los videojuegos.
