V2 Cucumber Scam

I dunno, man. Opened game, greeted almost immediately by a very poorly done (and very poorly written) AI narrator, get into the game proper, game stutters like mad every time you move the mouse (bouncing from 240 FPS to 40 FPS over and over sure is fun) and the first thing you do is just mindlessly boost forward for like 20 seconds to get to a platform. Maybe the game is cool after that, but I couldn't get the stuttering to stop. Dunno how a pixel art game is running worse than ray-traced AAA titles, but there ya go.

Great game, you just need to give it time at the beginning and later it was worth the wait!

I have a really great time playing this game. Of course - it still has some problems, but it is for sure worth trying. I am just eager to check what is going to happen next. If the creator would like to improve it, then: - consider altering the controls. Right now I am able to click with the mouse where I would like to go and try to move via WSAD at the same time... it is getting to stutter since the controls fight with each other - I got blocked in the city. It looks like I was able to go through collision, but I was not able to get out (next to the guy who is giving seeds) - The mission log is a mess - it is hard to know which quest is already unlocked, which one I can proceed. I also have a few quests in the right corner of my screen which were already completed. - Consider moving th intro after the initial screen - every time I open the game, I have to pass through the intro which is a little frustrating - even with the light, the shadows were able to hit me - I had the impression, the light should block them... hmm... The above problems are small - after a moment you do not care about those so much since you have fun playing! Longer weekend and Cucumber Scam - this is what I needed! :)

After around five hours in V2 Cucumber Scam, I can honestly say this is one of the strangest, most surprising, and genuinely enjoyable games I’ve played in a long time. It’s a completely unique mix of humor, story, exploration, and weird charm that you won’t find anywhere else. The world starts off gray and dying, but you slowly bring it back to life by growing colorful, strange, and completely endemic plants. Watching the environment gradually heal is surprisingly satisfying, and the building system is simple but addictive, especially once you start discovering new plants and their functions. The real stars of the game, though, are the Oroxs. They’re sarcastically called “cucumbers,” but their personalities are anything but mild. They’re chaotic, mischievous troublemakers who love discos, bars, neon lights, and late-night madness. But as you spend time with them, you start to see their emotional side, their history, and why they ended up on this planet. There’s also a strong mystery element running through the game: Shadows hiding in the darkness, abandoned villages, and a strange anomaly hanging over the planet. All of this makes you want to keep going just to understand what really happened to this world. The story is surprisingly large and full of unexpected twists. Several times I caught myself thinking “okay, I definitely didn’t expect that.” If you enjoy games where you build, restore life, uncover mysteries, and appreciate a good dose of strange humor and pixel art, V2 Cucumber Scam is absolutely worth playing. It’s weird in the best possible way, and it delivers that perfect “I didn’t see that coming” feeling that makes you want to keep exploring. Highly recommended, especially if you’re looking for something fresh, different, and memorable.
