This was supposed to be an ordinary day, in an ordinary life. But it isn't. You were in the town library, reading a good book when…You don't really remember. You know you passed out. When you wake up, you are surrounded by flames !
Before I played Up until the end, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Such a good game! The story had me on the edge of my seat. With so many choices and how much the story changes with each choice, I had to play it more then once. I did get a few bad endings, but that did not make me rage quit, instead it made me want to go back and keep trying to get the characters to safety.

Such a great game! I don't know why just few people know about this ._.? The thrilling plot with pleasant characters is enough to engage you in the story. I think it'll be more interesting if you're willing to try all the options. Yet, I'm just too pathetic to let any of them die so I only get one happy ending.
По-моему у разработчиков есть потенциал, осталось нанять художника :)
What I remember of from when I placed this years ago is it made little sense and didn't have much of an ending.
"Up until the end - Otome/Visual Novel" isn't a game. It's an e-book dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual novel/e-book/fan-fiction, this has no notable gameplay. It's just clicking through badly written dialogue that would never be accepted in print by an actual professional publisher. How did something this badly written end up on Steam? When someone can't get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam Direct under the guise of a game. This is yet another high school anime club dropout fan-fiction. The topic of this one revolves around the authors fantasy of falling unconscious in a library (weird place to get roofied) and waking up in a hellish firescape, and also at the same time dating a badly drawn anime dude (the authors imaginary boyfriend). Okay. The writing is incredibly cringey. This was made using the Ren'Py kit, which lets people who aren't developers create godawfully bad e-books that they then pretend are actually PC games. Just like no real writing talent was involved in this garbage, it's no surprise that no real software development happened here either. Ren'Py is just a shortcut for polluting the store with non-game e-book garbage. Visual novels are tedious at best. Imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or Twilight (kidding), but translate it to a format where you've to click your mouse for every single sentence instead of just turning pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that experience with much worse writing. If these guys could write professionally, they'd be in bookstores. They wouldn't have to pay Valve $100 to self-publish this on Steam. But here we are. There's no reason for this to be on Steam when it could just be a webpage... e-books are just a bunch of cringe text and (usually character generator created) static 2D imagery. You don't buy an expensive gaming PC to use it for something your web browser can do for free. Despite having no cost, this failed to appeal to gamers. SteamDB shows it peaked at only 3 concurrent readers. This is a dismal public reception. They couldn't even give it away. To satisfy the global demand for this book, you'd only ever need to print 3 copies. While this e-book's free, you can get better quality books and comics for free online or from public libraries. Steam is for PC games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle or a mobile phone e-book reader. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games.
It was just too tiring. I appreciate that the dev did the graphics without AI and it was all nicely done with many routes, but the story was just so inane. The plot did not make sense and there were plot holes and inconsistencies all over the place. It looks more like a wishful thinking based story not having many realistic elements. It is free so that is a big plus for everyone just to grab it and try but for me it was just a waste of time.
