Untrusted is one of those rare multiplayer experiences that proves great ideas don't need massive budgets or photorealistic graphics to leave a lasting impression. At its core, Untrusted is a game about deception, communication, and paranoia—and it executes that formula brilliantly. Every match feels like a social experiment where trust is both your greatest weapon and your biggest weakness. One moment you're working alongside your teammates to escape, and the next you're questioning every move, every message, and every suspiciously helpful player standing beside you. The beauty of Untrusted lies in its simplicity. The minimalist visuals allow the gameplay to take center stage, and that's exactly where it shines. The tension builds naturally as players attempt to complete objectives while hidden traitors work behind the scenes to sabotage their efforts. Unlike many social deduction games that rely heavily on voting systems, Untrusted creates its drama through player interactions and split-second decisions. What makes each round memorable is the unpredictability. No two games are ever the same. Sometimes you'll successfully lead your team to victory through careful coordination and trust. Other times, you'll spend an entire match unknowingly helping the very person responsible for your downfall. Those moments of realization are equal parts frustrating and hilarious—and they're what keep you coming back for "just one more game." The communication aspect deserves particular praise. Watching a group of strangers slowly become suspicious of one another is endlessly entertaining. Every locked door, delayed response, or oddly timed action suddenly becomes evidence in an ongoing investigation. The game constantly encourages players to think critically while embracing the chaos that naturally emerges. Despite its age, Untrusted still feels surprisingly unique. It captures the same magic that makes social deduction games so compelling while maintaining its own identity. There's a certain charm to its presentation and mechanics that newer titles often overlook in favor of complexity. Of course, the experience is heavily dependent on the people you're playing with. A good lobby can create some of the funniest and most intense moments you'll have in multiplayer gaming, while a less engaged group can make matches feel quieter than intended. Fortunately, when everything clicks, Untrusted becomes an unforgettable experience. It's also impressive how much tension the game creates with such simple mechanics. Few games can make you second-guess your closest ally or feel genuine relief after discovering you've trusted the right person. That emotional rollercoaster is what makes Untrusted stand out even years after its release. In a genre now filled with countless imitators, Untrusted remains a reminder that innovative concepts and strong player interaction can create something timeless. It's clever, chaotic, and endlessly entertaining. **Verdict:** Untrusted is a masterclass in social deduction and emergent gameplay. If you enjoy games that challenge your instincts, reward communication, and occasionally make you question everyone around you, this is an experience well worth revisiting. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 9/10 – *"In Untrusted, the most dangerous enemy is the one you decide to believe."* I hope this review has been helpful.
Wow I actually kinda like this game. Going though the tutorial was interesting, and seeing people saying that it has more things to offer than what is shown in the tutorial makes me wish to play with people more. If only asian servers had more players in it, it's really tough finding one online. I also enjoy the music, the main theme and each of the roles' themes sound great. Makes me wanna buy just the soundtracks. If I can't play with people, might as well enjoy the music XD
game used to be pretty fun, but they started losing playercount and decided to include chatgpt integration about it. kind of a shame, the game was fun in its time.
