[/th]

A local multiplayer competitive PvP game in a retro 80s style.
A niche little game for those who like to have fun in competition with their friends. Competitive arcade, 2D top-down shooter and bullet hell in space. Old school minimalist pixel art with retro 80s style. Game motto: "Beat your friends, get money, buy better weapons, beat them more!"
[+] Advantages:
[olist][*] The opportunity to have fun with friends if they also love competitions and similar style of games. [*] The retro style of the game will allow you to plunge into the past, in the 80s. [*] Lots of game options and modes. [*] Multiplayer game mode: this is the essence of the main fun of the game. [*] It is possible to play without a joystick, using the keyboard. (Up to two players). [*] It is possible to play the joystick. [*] There is training before the start of the game. There is also a guide to the game on the Steam forum. [*] The game takes up little space on the hard drive and is undemanding to the resources of the computer and video card. [*] The developer supports develop games and answers questions from users in the forum. [*] The game is currently free! However, the author of the game in May 2021 released the news that the game would soon become paid. However, then this news was removed, and the game remained free. [/olist]
[-] Disadvantages:
[olist][*] If you do not like retro style, pixel graphics and minimalism of games of the 80s, then this game is not for you. [*] Single player mode: Playing alone is not very interesting. It is also quite difficult to launch single player mode. It is much more fun to play the multiplayer mode (For two or three players). [*] Multiplayer game mode: only up to three players. [*] There is no translation of the game into languages other than English. But there is little text and everything can be understood intuitively. [*] There is no way to reconfigure the control buttons. Although, by default, the control buttons are set quite conveniently. [*] Works only in Windows OS. [*] After a while, the game can get boring. But the game is worth the money to have fun with friends. [*] It would be great to add the ability to play with players via the Internet. [*] Unfortunately, there are no global statistics and player points table. [*] The game developer behaves in an unpredictable and strange manner. For example: a) In May 2021, the game's author released the news that the game will soon be paid. This created a lot of hype and publicity for the game. But soon this news was removed, and the game remained free. b) On the game forum, the author sometimes makes notes about the fact that he allegedly accidentally deleted the game and now the game does not work. Then he writes that it was a joke. Then he can delete his notes. c) At first, there were achievements in the game. After users asked for clarification on how to get some achievements, the author of the game completely removed all achievements. At the same time, the author of the game released the news that he removed only one achievement, and not all achievements at once. [/olist]
Conclusions:
This game may interest you if you like to compete with your friends and appreciate the retro atmosphere, pixel art, minimalism and simplicity of 80s games. The game has enough different game options and modes to captivate you for several hours. There is still room for improvement and development in the game. The developer continues to work on the game and listens to the community. Over time, the game can get better and more interesting. However, the game may become paid. The developer has already made the news that the game will become paid, but then changed his mind and deleted this information. For a free game, the game is good. Among the paid games, the game has a large number of competitors. If the game becomes paid and at the same time remains at this level of development, then I would advise you to take a closer look at other similar games. 制作粗糙的对战游戏,画质低劣,音效难受,也就是免费的喜加一了,没啥可玩性。
Is too basic and dull to even recommend the game. Visuals are nice tho. My biggest issue is that ships cannot turn on any direction (they always face up).
Сделанная на коленке безногого инвалида игра, онлайн мода нет, в одиночку не сыграть, а вот если есть друг можно его пригласить домой на fisting за 300$ и сыграть в эту @xyeнную игру
My thoughts on Untitled Space game, no no the facts of Untitled Space game. To a normie this may look and sound like a game where you shoot other ships, but that's where you are wrong, for this is a sign, a sign of humanity and how it has shaped us as a whole and where it will lead, lets start from the begging. We start of with the begging where we hit animals with spears, the hunting and gathering times. We see this in our game by the achievements, actually all of pre 1800s are in the achievements, lets start with Acting Sus! which is talking about how we use to hide, waiting for our prey. Then comes Use The Arrow Keys! which shows how us humans went to settling and starting Civilization. Overpowered shows kingdoms rising and falling whilst Ultra destruction shows the boobanic plague and all the mass trolling. Truly Balanced shows Thanos. I can go on and on but we shall move on to the 1800s. We start off with background (Its the night sky btw, the thing at night with the little lights). The background shows how we started to think outside of the world and wanted to expand and develop better telescopes, its when we started discovering new places in the sky, the white asteroids obviously represents Antarctica since we discovered it after UranSUS. Now onto the 20th century or the 1900s. The guns show the planes that were made for the wars and the fast jets show how we started to advance into flight, I MEAN ITS A SPACESHIP, WE MADE ROCKETS IN THE 1900S ITS OBVIOUS. Anyways 1900s over, onto the 2000+. You see the kinda retro game like title screen from the 90s didn't go out till around 2005, meaning that's that. Once again there powerful guns that you can buy showing more advancement and ships that seem to be far out into space showing the advancements we have, are and will make. Thats why this game is great, this SUSiety is great.
Untitled Space Game is a 2D retro pixel PvP arena shooter that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. It's a "space invaders" style PvP shooter where you can fly your ship up, down, left or right, but you can only harm enemies by shooting upwards, or blasting your engines downwards... the gimmick is that you can't turn your ship, and thus positioning is critical. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs, although in this case the game is completely free. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises like pixel art and using off the shelf game templates and construction kits.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer takes the time out to correctly observe that I write negative reviews for bad games, such as "Untitled Space Game". I also write positive reviews for good games. It's not my fault that most games are of terrible quality, or that the developer here seems hell bent on reducing the average quality of all video games with "Untitled Space Game". Of course I cannot in good conscience recommend a bad game, such as "Untitled Space Game" to other gamers. It's unclear what point the developer is making here apart from drawing further attention to the fact that "Untitled Space Game" is an objectively bad game for the reasons I've supplied. The developer notes that some aspects of my review are of a standard form factor. This is appropriate as so many developers, like Hummus, copy + paste games or use construction kits. There's only so many ways to say the same things about the same games all having the same problems. Problems that "Untitled Space Game" shares with so many other GameMaker Studio copy + paste jobs. The developer weirdly contradicts themselves in the same sentence, first claiming they have no idea what a video game construction kit is and that they didn't use one, then immediately admitting they lied, and used the GameMaker Studio construction kit GML to "write" their "game". It seems the developer is trying to be deliberately misleading here, but it's unclear why. Perhaps they are ashamed of the fact they had to use a video game construction kit instead of being able to properly write a game? Regardless, reviews are about the games and not about how misleading and self-contradictory developers can be. "Untitled Space Game" is an objectively bad game, as explained in my original review. My review stands, this game is simply not good enough to even bother downloading.
kinda bad
