Not as fun as I expected. There are a bunch of levels where you have to put something that you can't even tell what it is, in a very specific room, on a specific type of surface, for the game to acknowledge it's unpacked. Still recommend it though. Especially if you get it at a discount, it's a steal!

Un petit jeu cozy, court, très simple, mais tellement satisfaisant ! Chaque niveau vous demande de déballer des cartons et d'en ranger le contenu dans une ou plusieurs pièces d'une maison. D'abord, l'expérience utilisateur est juste parfaite. Les contrôles, les signaux visuels, tout est simple mais tellement ergonomique et bien pensé. On prend un vrai plaisir à placer, déplacer et redéplacer les objets pour parvenir à la configuration idéale et qui nous convient. Mais c'est quoi la configuration idéale ? Eh bien le jeu laisse libre court à votre imagination pour cela. Alors certes il y a un petit aspect puzzle (vous ne pouvez pas mettre une brosse à dents dans la cuisine par exemple), et vous devrez parfois empiler les objets de manière astucieuse pour avoir assez de place (notamment dans les niveaux plus petits, style appartement), mais ce n'est pas difficile et il est impossible de perdre dans Unpacking - prenez votre temps et rangez à votre rythme. Enfin, le coup de génie de Unpacking, c'est de nous faire suivre au fil des niveaux la vie d'une personne, qui nous est racontée au travers de ses déménagements et emménagements. Pas de texte, pas de dialogue, non. Juste le gameplay décrit précédemment. Et pourtant en rangeant les objets, on découvre réellement qui est cette personne et les étapes importantes traversées au fil des années. En résumé, le jeu est un peu court, ne propose pas de challenge, mais chaque minute passée dessus est un plaisir - tout ce qu'on demande d'un jeu cozy.
I keep replaying the game even if i know all the secrets its so fun to play and can play without watching the time pass by, and would 100% recommend saying from a player who has downloaded this game when it reached its peak ay back in 2023 also iwould love it if an unpacking 2 would be released or a dlc like that i still wwant moree hahaha anyways thats it thankyou witch beam for this wonderfull game haha peace

Don't get me wrong, this is a very relaxing cozy game to play. I bought this back in 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed playing through it. I am writing my review now years later because I noticed I bought this game at full price.... yikes. I can give a game its tens but I just cannot justify that price for it. Especially when periodically checking the game for any news and seeing no updates to it is disappointing. There was a lot that could've been done to the game (or even a little) to expand the few hours it takes to complete it to a couple more hours of gameplay. Such a shame!
It is exactly what it says it is, an unpacking game. I like the story the environments tell. And it's nice that there are multiple "correct" places to put things away, so you can put things away in your own style.
i thought this was going to be a game where i can unpack my belongings into this room it gives me however I personally like, and thats why i thought it was a relaxing game, but once i found out you had to put things in certain spots i honestly lost all interest in it. The game went from relaxing to really annoying trying to find where certain things (some of which, i didnt even know what they were) went in this room(s)

its very cozy! i love the game so much but i wish there was more years other than up to 2018 ): is the creator going to add more years? would love to see that happen! ive played about 7 times already !
