Unhack 2 is the direct Sequel of Unhack. And all in one you get more of everything, Ten new puzzling levels. The Story got a big improvement now being a visual novel. Way more text and pretty big story sements. Storytelling itself is good naking the lore of Unhack go way further. It´s a three to four hor read, depending on your reading speed. Unfortunately more lines of text and dialogue has a price: No voice acting this time. But Artworks got a huge improvement in exchange too. Everything looks so much better now. Everyone who liked part 1 won´t waste money here.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

Game play was nothing like the first one, but that is fine. Since the story made up for anything that was missing. I just started it one night, and just couldn't stop. Also, I hate crying.
Unhack 2 is a direct sequel to Unhack but there are completely new main characters now. How does it compare and is it worth getting? Let's check it out. Unhack is a puzzle game with some brief visual novel parts while the new title is the opposite: a visual novel with occasional puzzle. I can't say for sure whether the story length is five time the previous one but it is definitely longer. It has a length of a short VN, I would say about 6-8h worth of reading at normal pace. It is a kinetic novel so there are no choices and there is only one ending. The theme is sci-fi; virtual reality and AI to be more precise. You play as skilled unhacker again, but from a different company. Your current task is to investigate appearance of multiple AIs bearing looks of familiar AI from the past. It gets much more complex and emotional later. A much more serious story than that of the predecessor. There are some light twists and a major antagonist. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it more than I expected. Not an outstanding work but I rate it way higher than the one in the prequel; quite a bit above average in my book. For those enjoying futuristic topics related to virtual reality and humanised AI it should be an enjoyable read. The puzzle stages scattered around the story offer some interactivity beyond reading. They are less action/timing oriented now and require more strategy. Still, the challenge is pretty low and all are skippable anyway for those only wanting the story. Another improvement is the quality of art. Sprites, both, familiar and new ones were done in a slightly different, higher quality style for sure. More pleasant to the eye. Number of poses and emotions is fairly limited but still ok considering the price. Quite a few backgrounds were used but most of them are pretty empty. Cold colours and sterility match the sci-fi theme well enough at least. Not bad overall. The electronic music present here is still good but slightly less catchy then the previous OST. Tracks fit the events nicely and the decent variation prevent monotony. Again, not bad considering the budget. No bugs encountered. To summarise, A pretty decent sci-fi story with some new and old characters, plus occasional puzzle to solve. Good art and music complete the picture. Can definitely recommend to check this out if you read the previous part but even if you're not familiar with it it is still a nice ~6-8h read: 6.7/10
It's... alright. It's a lot more of an actual novel than the first one. Much better, too, although it certainly has flaws in the writing (in particular, conversations take way longer than they should, because the protagonist-narrator has opinions on EVERYTHING). In any case, I think it's pretty simple: if you liked the first game, this is better. But it's not a game you play without playing the first. (First game's DLC can be skipped though.)
Game has an amazing story that took me around 3 hours to do very well done. Thought I was gona cry near the end. 10/10 for me
Invertmouse did a pretty good job making a sequel, though the play style's very different. Visuals: The visuals are more satisfying to look at, and their art has improved quite a bit! Voice Acting: They didn't include voice acting in this one. :( Characters: They're meh at best. None of the characters jumped out to me as being fantastic, but it's nice to see old characters come back, though the story's not focused on them. I don't really like how they make the Creator seem like a heartless jerk, and I also don't really care for the antagonist at all. Story: It has a good premise, but I feel like it was cut short. It had a good start, but the plot twist (which admittedly I didn't see coming at all) made the antagonist seem kind of pathetic, given that you didn't have much time with them. Gameplay: This one takes a much more VN approach than the former did, being primarily in that format than the story being told as you progressed in the puzzles. There are still puzzles in this game, but I was kind of disappointed that they were turn based instead of real time, which is something I enjoyed about the puzzles in the first game. Music: The music's pretty alright. If you liked the music in the first game, you'll like the music in this one as well. Conclusion: The game is meh overall, but it's good for the price. While I don't see myself coming back to this game, it's good if you're looking for something short-medium length that's not very expensive.
honestly its fine everything about it is fine, the puzzles were fine. the puzzle system is pretty different compared to the first game but in essence is the same, the visuals are okay overall pretty fun would've prefer a longer experience but okay.
