This was a very strange game. It didn't run very well even on a PC that was double the specs, and finding the next objective wasn't straight-forward for most of the game. It's clear there was passion involved in its making, but it left me unsure what the message is supposed to be and felt more like an interactive cut-scene than a game.
There is some cool moments, but didn't feel like a game at all... pointless and not fun.
Не стоит того...
UNEXTINCTION, developed by Amar SK and published by Candoria Studio, is a first-person survival adventure that leans heavily into the enduring fascination with dinosaurs while framing its story around isolation, scientific ambition, and the consequences of tampering with nature. The game opens with a dramatic premise: after a violent storm at sea, the protagonist finds themselves drawn toward a remote and uncharted island. What initially appears to be a desperate fight for survival quickly evolves into a deeper mystery involving abandoned research facilities and the unsettling realization that prehistoric life has returned in a place where it should not exist. From the outset, UNEXTINCTION establishes a strong sense of vulnerability. The island setting is both visually inviting and inherently dangerous, combining lush tropical landscapes with the ever-present threat of predatory creatures. Exploration is central to the experience. Players traverse beaches, dense jungles, and ruined laboratories, uncovering fragments of narrative through environmental storytelling. Scattered documents, decaying equipment, and remnants of scientific experimentation hint at a catastrophic past. Rather than delivering exposition through heavy cutscenes, the game allows players to piece together its story organically, rewarding curiosity and careful observation. Gameplay is structured around survival fundamentals. While it does not introduce deeply complex crafting or resource management systems, it requires players to remain cautious and deliberate. Supplies must be found, threats avoided or confronted, and environments navigated with care. Encounters with dinosaurs are the game’s most intense moments. Smaller predators stalk through foliage, creating tension through sound and movement, while larger creatures transform exploration into sudden life-or-death confrontations. Combat exists, but it often feels secondary to evasion and survival, reinforcing the idea that humans are not the dominant force in this ecosystem. The dinosaur element is the game’s defining feature and strongest atmospheric asset. These creatures are not merely decorative set pieces; they are integrated into the gameplay loop in ways that generate suspense. Roars echo through the jungle canopy, footsteps rumble in the distance, and sudden appearances shift the tone from calm exploration to immediate danger. This dynamic interplay between serenity and threat sustains tension throughout the experience. The primal fear associated with facing creatures long thought extinct gives the game a distinct identity within the survival-adventure genre. Visually, UNEXTINCTION aims for immersion rather than spectacle. The environments capture the sense of being stranded in a forgotten paradise that conceals deadly secrets. Lighting and environmental design contribute to mood, particularly within the overgrown laboratories where scientific ambition and natural chaos intersect. While the graphical fidelity may not rival large-budget productions, the art direction effectively conveys isolation and unease. Sound design plays an equally crucial role, with ambient jungle noises and dinosaur vocalizations amplifying immersion and alerting players to potential danger. The pacing alternates between quiet investigative segments and bursts of adrenaline-driven encounters. This ebb and flow prevents monotony, though some players may find the overall scope relatively contained compared to more expansive survival games. The mechanics remain straightforward, focusing on atmosphere and thematic consistency rather than introducing layered systems. As a result, the experience feels concentrated and focused, delivering its core concept without unnecessary complication. Narratively, the game’s strength lies in its restraint. By allowing players to uncover the story through exploration rather than scripted exposition, UNEXTINCTION cultivates a sense of personal discovery. The sci-fi undertones—suggesting that human experimentation brought about the island’s unnatural resurrection of prehistoric life—add depth to what could otherwise have been a simple survival scenario. This blend of scientific intrigue and primal danger provides thematic cohesion throughout the journey. Overall, UNEXTINCTION presents itself as a compact survival adventure that thrives on atmosphere and concept. It may not deliver extensive systems or high production polish, but it offers a focused experience built around tension, exploration, and the enduring allure of dinosaurs. For players drawn to isolated island settings, environmental storytelling, and the thrill of surviving against ancient predators, it provides a memorable excursion into a world where extinction has been undone and humanity must once again confront the consequences. 加油性好评,暂不推荐。Ach need chinese too, cloud save need. 成就也需要中文,还有云存档必要。 202512,steam,steam掉卡掉物抵扣,它处自定义包入的本体约9元。爱人如己,目前就这,看以后追评。
Enjoyed playing this game. Very short. My discussion post about bugs and feedback has all the information for my review. Tips: Turn down graphics to lag less, don't collect the bucket by the wrecked boat or you'll miss cutscene, and don't quit out as there are no checkpoints.
It took me six minutes to regret this purchase - no save system, so you're expected to play the game the way the dev sees it, not the way that a busy life may allow for and the obnoxious head-bob made my eyes want to bleed. (update: tried again...lasted another ten minutes before calling it quits).
