A very unique game, certainly not for everyone, but if you like games with a story where you feel your choices have significant impact, and you really do not know what will come next, this game is a treat. It takes you through a deep story, that is not easy but rewards those who play, lose, and learn. Completing this game on your first, fifth or even tenth run is unlikely, but it offers something for me a lot of games have not and that is a true sense of not knowing what happens next. Sometimes the game is rough around the edges and RNG can cause you some serious issues, but there are some help options within the settings menus, that help you get out of softlocks or other issues, and the penalty of death is not very high for most of the game, meaning you can play it quite casually if you want. I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants an experience quite unlike any game they've played before!
On one hand, this game is wonderfully unique and i love the concept of it. On the other hand... it's a buggy mess, with many times i've had my expirience ruined due to unfair gameplay. It has active updates, so im hopful that in a couple years itll be a more playable game, but right now I can't reccomend it. Common problems: - No spawn invonruability when entering new areas, so you are guarnteed to take damage if there are hostiles near an entrence. - Only 1 quest can be active means far away quests often get overwritten by quests on the way. - Little to no indication of what actions at camp will anger folk in the area. With all my complains about it, this game still has potential to be amazing. This mix of genres is something I've not seen before. Let's hope that the updates keep on coming.
A landmark in generative story telling. The locations often feel hand crafted, and the plot responds to you actions. Brilliant - but frustratingly hard.
this was a game i really wanted to like and enjoy, but really i just lost the patience with it... first it was the general bugs with the generated maps and zones, than the broken puzzles... than it was the saving feature being broken, which made it that every so often my save will be deleted by god knows what after 300 days in game... and reacuringly. Recently i bought a steam deck and thought i will give it one last try... only to have the game freeze every time i check my character tab... honestly i don't think this game wants to be played by me... and having my save issue ignored by the devs for the past year, i don't think it ever will. kudos to all that managed to play it an finished it...must be nice...
Completed the tutorial and started to travel the map. Realized I hated the core mechanics of the game. Decided not to continue.

If it wasn't a bug trapping my character in the middle of an open hallway it was 5-10 enemies ambushing me out of nowhere. The exploration is the best part but it's ruined by unfair obstacles that you have no way to prepare for.
This game is HARD. Not in the souls-like, you need Daigo level timing kinda hard, but in a way I've not seen in a game. Every choice you make could get you murked. There have been plenty of anime that showed you how brutal an adventure could be for everyday folks, but this brought it home for me. Setting out to achieve a goal without enough information or the right equipment will have you folded like a Michelin Star omelet. There's not a lot of hand-holding either. I found myself in a predicament where I was at 1 HP, couldn't eat because I was out of hope after eating the worst meal of all time (spoiled rat meat or something), and couldn't get my hope up until I'd had a good sleep in a nice place. The problem is, that sour rat meat was my breakfast, so I couldn't go back to sleep. There were hazards in every direction, so traveling was mostly out of the question. I hit the pause button to see if I could find anything, and that's when I saw it. A beacon of hope in the depths of despair. There's a button in the options that says something like "Pray for Help". This allows you to call on the in-game god to help you out of a sticky situation. It also allows you to report bugs. I take it God is just the developer (read: literal deus ex machina). I clicked it, and it made it known that calling to god for help too often would have consequences, so I double-checked that I'd done everything I could on my own. This thing teleported me 12 ft to the entrance. Thus my irl hopes were dashed. What an immersive experience. I lost the fancy new weapon I was excited to try out, new knowledge I'd acquired and wanted to return to the haven, etc... It was... incredible. This game is all about exploration. It's about making mistakes and teaching future generations lessons that can only be taught in blood. It's also about learning basic planning skills. I don't have those. This game is wonderful.
Novel adventure game Constantly being retooled, so the identity is a little bit in flux, but always refining. Still no other game out there like it. Recommended if you're a sucker for games that try to subvert combat.
i have this game on egs and got it on here because i like weird lil games. i'm pleased with how much this game has expanded and changed over the years. it's a challenging tabletop rpg with a unique style and setting. the world has dynamic events that change the world and the weirdoes you get to interact with it. it's a good game to come back to but for some reason years later i get random missing dialog bugs
