I dont do reviews on games often, but I feel this one if worth it. Honestly fun game. The story is solid and the scares are real. The roguelike elements are done well, reminding me The Binding of Issac / Enter the Gungeon. Uncle Nooks, my thoughts on the game every time I was about to enter a room my heart raced like it was running a marathon. the game was laggy but fun and heart racing. I enjoyed having a musket and a laser but when I died I was mad but got over it. it is a great game i enjoyed it. My favorite level was the one with all the stairs with rooms on it I felt calm. i really like the design and how it looks to hold a weapon or a camera. I like the notes they are catchy I could almost make a rap out of them

Great creature designs (I recognize the Broken and Chicken Man, and that shopkeep is probably one of my favorite designs ever), solid movement, TONS of items (ridiculous or otherwise), and some decent atmosphere make what is, all in all, a great package. Also, multiple endings. Genuinely fun time, so far. Highly recommend.

Simple to learn randomized loop with surprising depth. It's basically a interpretation of Atari's Haunted House where you must find gold keys on each floor to advance while not dying to random spookies strung about. Some achivement's are bugged but honestly just use the unlocker thingy if you care enough. Also the game doesn't save my custom inputs for some reason but that's not a deal breaker. The game's not overly difficult but the randomization has depth along with addictive gameplay loop of menuing/looting that any fan of roguelites might be surprised with what they find here. It's not overly complex at all but it's very fun to drop in for a session or two.

If Spookys Jumpscare mansion met the binding of Isaac. I have commented about the stagnation in the indie horror space taken up by the mascot horror sub-genre and what's here is very impressive. In the early game you are concerned about not dealing with the main threat of that area while finding enough items and keys in order to power up and defeat the boss. Like Isaac you gather items strewn about that effect a handful of stats that are earned through the completion of a run thus the rouge like elements. Unlike those games you don't have a vast database of information gathered by the community and part of me prefers that, it allows for experimentation and discovery that is very rare in modern gaming. Spookys is one of my favorite horror games of all time and to see it being combined with the rogue-like genre is a really interesting combination.
