Uncle Lee’s Cookbook: Five Recipes for Disaster

I'm writing this review now because I see that, for some reason, interest in the game is low, and this game deserves attention. It's not your typical point-and-click game with a story. I'm currently on the second of five episodes, which don't seem to be connected in terms of story, which is a downside for me, but that's my fault because I bought the game based on the beautiful graphics. However, the puzzles are clever and tricky, which is a big plus. Each episode has some quirky mechanics, which is also great. The game deserves a chance, so I recommend it for now! We'll see what happens next, and I hope the puzzles will be just as high in subsequent episodes. Edit after finishing: I just finished the game and have mixed feelings. I think the best way to sum it up is: great puzzles in a mediocre game. Unfortunately, the lack of a compelling storyline is a major drawback for me. The best episode, story-wise, was the fourth, and I hoped the last one would be similar in that regard, but it was again a copy of the first three, only with changed mechanics (which were great!). In summary: if you play adventure games for the puzzles, this is a 10/10 for you. If you're looking for a story in addition to the puzzles, play something else.

A hilarious and well cooked adventue in 5 episodes, where we are solving puzzles, or better: use sccience combined with magic to get out of precarious situations, uncle lee has brought us into. I especially loved the time trips in episode 3 and the magical problem solving in episode 4. All episodes are ministories in itself, held together by Ines and uncle lee. Highly recommended - don't miss it ! And, I would love a sequel - as: what became of the eel???

There are great and challenging puzzles, several fun and crazy story episodes, fitting music and sound design, and of course a lovely pixel art style. What really hooked me, though, were the characters and the humor. The two main protagonists shine with their unique personalities and have such a fantastic dynamic together. Even the side characters feel distinctive and memorable in their own way. All of them are brought to life by amazing voice acting. If you’re even slightly into point-and-click adventures, give this game a chance for its characters alone.

Quite funny and nice game and appealing graphic style. Not very challenging though. The time altering mechanics give an extra dimension to the game and works very well. Took me 5 hours to complete but worth it.

Good and fun pixelart pnc in episodes format! Really good artwork, humor, characters and stories! Really enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

Uncle Lee’s Cookbook is a charming little point‑and‑click chaos parade where rebellious teen Ines is left cleaning up the fallout from Uncle Lee’s latest “brilliant” ideas. Each of the five episodes is its own mini‑disaster, packed with humor, personality, and that classic “my family is the real final boss” energy. The puzzles are fun, the writing’s playful, and the whole thing has a cozy, modern adventure‑game vibe that doesn’t overstay its welcome. If you enjoy quirky stories, light problem‑solving, and watching one man’s questionable life choices ripple through an entire household, this one’s a delight.

A nice little adventure game with five loosely connected episodes. In my humble opinion, the puzzles were on the lighter side, but according to the reviews, opinions differ on this one. For sure they're sometimes on the reality-bending side. :D If you played the demo already, you should still play the episode, as it contnues after the demo content. Be aware that the demo does give away a not too little portion of the full game, but a rather good and large one. Still, I can recommend playing this. Works all fine natively on Linux.

Short and sweet, this was a fun 6 or so hours for me, definitely worth the purchase! The pixels are the size of raviolis on my 1440p monitor but you get *great* writing, characters and voice acting, puzzles that are just the right amount of puzzling, and you can feel the love the developers have for the genre in every step. Recommended!

An amazing point and click game (though that the difficulty level varies). The humor is amazing and made me laugh out loud many times. Is it a perfect game? No, but what game is? Is it a great game? Yes, it is. i had much fun with the game and a lot of laughs. The only thing I used the hint button for was for the fifth episode because I didn't know how to proceed (that's mostly because I'm a dumdum). Would I recommend it? Absolutley, not a doubt about that. A good game made of a small crew. You made an awesome game!

Great voice acting and fun puzzles. I've been limiting myself to one episode at a time instead of blasting through all at once. I love this style of game!
