Loved the game design but honestly i HATED the soundtrack. Too abrasive on the ears. Such a shame that the music didnt really fit the game design as well. Maybe something softer and more soothing would have worked better
It might not be for me, but it might be for you
I organize my library in 5 main categories. Games that trigger my vertigo, games that are by their nature endless or endlessly replayable, completed games, the general "uncategorized" category Steam puts all new games in and "Don't Bother" for all those games that are either too buggy to play, or who can't hold my interest. This just joined that last one. I usually return controller heavy craptastic ♥♥♥♥♥ like this, but this one was free, so I'm just going to write a bad review to worn all unsuspecting Steam gamers of the journey they are about to emark on by DL this pile of manure. Firstly, the game is designed with a controller in mind and the keyboard commands are less then ideal. The menu is keybord only, because it's not like the paradigm is called keyboard AND mouse. The options are non existant; V-sync on/off and a predetermined quality preset. The maximum quality is... well, it isn't really. It's underperformening for how it looks... and the main reason is the resolution. The game is text heavy. The text is fuzzy. Why? Because you can't pick your resolution and the game runs at a sub FullHD resolution even at the highest quality preset. The game is pretentious and it likes to pretend that if it acknowledges that it isn't. Yeah, that's not how this works. It tries to be cute. It fails. It tries to be artistic, it fails - mainly because of the aforementioned resolution problem. NOW, the game is technically playable. Technically, being the operative word. If you're still playing on a 1366*768 screen or lower, the game might look ok, but on anything bigger the game looks bad, and the writing looks worse. There is some stylistic choice here, but the resolution is not part of it. This kind of force resolution is more typical of console games than it is of PC releases. The whole experience is more typical of console games than of PC yet I doubt this game will ever make it on any console other than the yet to be released Steam Deck. Overall, a subpar experience from a wannabe console dev desperately trying to imitate The Magic Circle, or at least born from the same place. You're better off forgetting this game ever existed and adding it to your ignore list. It's 2021 and this game behaves like it's 2001 and it just launched on a console. The dev made it free, here's something else that's free: my advice, DON'T BOTHER with this one. EDIT. and just so everybody is clear about me being mean to an indie game, Antichamber - a one man indie game - came out in 2013, a year before this, and is still considered one of the best first person puzzle games ever made in 2021. Indie and "pretentious" are not synonymous with bad. This game isn't bad because it's indie or because it tries to be philosophical and those are not excuses to be used in defense of a bad game.

Trippy abstract exploration game. Interesting dialogues about existence, truth and humanity.
