The beginning feels like a classic children's fantasy. Your character is pulled through a TV screen into the very game they were playing. The story doesn't spend much time explaining what's happening, but it doesn't really need to. Your objective is clear from the start. Keep moving forward and overcome a series of straightforward platforming challenges. The controls are just as simple. Besides moving around, your only real ability is jumping, and that is all you need to deal with every obstacle in your path. The world isn't open, and instead consists of one large linear stage divided into smaller rooms. Most challenges revolve around avoiding enemies and clearing gaps, but the game also loves catching you off guard. A path that looks perfectly safe might suddenly collapse beneath your feet and drop you into lava. The solution is to trust an invisible platform on the opposite side and simply walk across it. Elsewhere, a wall of spikes can appear out of nowhere and rush toward you. Many of these traps are impossible to avoid the first time because there's no warning, so plenty of deaths come as a complete surprise. Each room contains breakable objects that burst into coins when touched. You can spend those coins at bonfires found after every challenge room to improve two different stats. Unfortunately, the upgrades aren't translated, and the icons don't clearly explain what they do. I only figured them out after investing a few points and noticing the changes. Bonfires also let you teleport back to the start of any completed room, although I only found this useful for returning to collect any gems or chests I had missed. One upgrade increases your energy, while the other improves your speed. Every purchase raises the price of the next one, so focusing on a single upgrade quickly becomes expensive. Energy drains whenever you move but refills almost instantly when you stand still. Oddly enough, running out of energy doesn't really punish you. Apart from a brief pause, you can continue moving even with the meter completely empty. Speed is just as unusual. You can improve it by spending coins, but it also increases naturally as you move around, meaning you can technically grind it. The increase is painfully slow, though, and each point makes no difference at all. Enemies can't be defeated, so avoiding them is your only option. As long as you stay outside their visible field of vision, they'll leave you alone. Step into it, however, and they'll immediately begin chasing you until you either reach the next exit or jump over an obstacle. You can only survive one hit before respawning at the beginning of the room. Thankfully, any treasure you've already collected remain yours, so you never have to pick them up again. The game features three worlds with ten rooms each, and every new room gradually raises the difficulty. Thanks to checkpoints after every room and the quick travel system, you never have to clear an entire world in one sitting. You also can't revisit previous worlds once you move on, although there isn't anything missable, so it never becomes an issue. Each world introduces new enemy types with different behaviors and mechanics that keep the platforming fresh. I found the overall challenge fair, and the adventure doesn't overstay its welcome. It even finishes with a teaser for a fourth world, which will hopefully arrive in a future update.
Developed and published by WaterGames, Ultimate super boy is a colorful 3D platforming adventure that blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and action into a whimsical journey through a mysterious dream world. The story begins when an ordinary boy is unexpectedly pulled into another dimension by a strange black hole, awakening inside an unfamiliar dungeon with none of the abilities he once possessed. From that point forward, every challenge revolves around rebuilding his strength by discovering hidden items, unlocking new skills, and gradually overcoming the dangers that stand between him and his escape. While the premise follows a familiar "lost hero regains power" structure, the dreamlike setting gives the adventure an imaginative backdrop that allows for unusual environments and gameplay surprises. Progression is built around exploration rather than rushing from one objective to the next. Instead of giving players every movement ability from the beginning, the game encourages them to carefully search each area for collectibles that expand the protagonist's capabilities. This creates a satisfying sense of growth as previously unreachable locations slowly become accessible. According to its current description, the adventure spans multiple environments including ancient dungeon castles, scorching desert landscapes, and icy mountain regions, each introducing its own hazards and visual style. The variety of locations helps keep the experience feeling fresh while reinforcing the feeling that the dream world is far larger and stranger than it initially appears. Platforming serves as the foundation of the gameplay, but Ultimate super boy aims to offer more than simple jumping challenges. The game features over thirty different traps and environmental obstacles that require careful timing, observation, and problem-solving. Rather than relying exclusively on reflexes, many situations ask players to understand how different hazards interact before advancing. One of the more interesting promises is the inclusion of meta-style puzzles that encourage players to think beyond conventional in-game logic. If these concepts are implemented successfully, they could become the title's defining feature by delivering memorable moments that reward creativity instead of repetitive trial and error. Finding the right balance between clever design and accessibility will ultimately determine how satisfying these puzzle sequences feel throughout the campaign. The visual presentation embraces bright colors, stylized environments, and a clean artistic direction that makes navigation easy while maintaining a lighthearted atmosphere. Although the world is filled with castles, mysterious portals, and dangerous traps, the overall aesthetic remains approachable rather than intimidating. This contrast between cheerful visuals and increasingly complex challenges gives the game a distinct personality that should appeal to players looking for a family-friendly platforming adventure with enough depth to remain engaging. The third-person camera also appears well suited to judging jumps and navigating obstacle-filled environments, an important consideration for any platformer that emphasizes precision. Beyond its core gameplay, Ultimate super boy includes modern quality-of-life features such as Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud support, Family Sharing compatibility, and multiple language options, making it accessible to a wide audience. The developer has also disclosed the use of generative AI for certain promotional assets while positioning the gameplay itself as the primary focus. Since the title has yet to establish a long-term player reception, aspects such as level pacing, difficulty balancing, and control responsiveness remain unknown. However, based on the currently available information, the project demonstrates a genuine effort to combine classic 3D platforming with exploration, environmental puzzles, and inventive mechanics that encourage players to think creatively instead of simply rushing toward the finish line. Ultimate super boy appears to have a solid foundation for fans of traditional action-platformers while introducing enough fresh ideas to distinguish itself from more conventional entries in the genre. Its gradual progression system, varied environments, and emphasis on puzzle-solving create the potential for an enjoyable adventure that rewards curiosity as much as skill. Whether it fully realizes that ambition will depend on the final execution, but the concept already shows creativity and an understanding of what makes exploration-driven platformers satisfying. Players who enjoy discovering secrets, overcoming elaborate environmental challenges, and steadily expanding their character's abilities should find plenty to anticipate. Rating: 6/10
