About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in like every match pretty much at the beginning of the match so not for me
This game is sweet - it's world of tanks but less predatory microtranscations and a much easier jump in and play experience. No idea what some negative reviews are talking about that there's a lack of even matchmaking or that you start with trash tanks; this simply is not true. I've played maybe 20 matches so far, I've earned two new tanks, and some of the ones you start with such as the Maul are top tier tanks. It only takes 2-3 short matches to unlock a good amount in the tech tree for a given tank, too. Matchmaking is quick, games are quick, it's a fun smooth experience and as a dad gamer I'm really appreciating it as some quick to jump into fun. Good variety of tanks too, from quick hover tanks that can die in 2 hits to sluggish behemoths that are all but invulnerable from the front - very cool.

Boring
Good good good
I enjoy playing the game. It has fun tanks and fun mechanics. There was this one time where I flew and the enemy team was light up! That was very cool! I also had this one game where I rammed a tank for all their damage! WOW! The dopamine hit! Was very fun! Would Recommend 8/10! Fix MAPS!!!
This game was hard at first but I was able to "tank" it
WOT but funny
I have thoroughly enjoyed this game so far. I appreciate that the gameplay is challenging and requires skill but there isn't such a huge gap between new players and advanced players as to make it frustrating. I appreciate that even in early access there are very few bugs and the gameplay and UI are smooth and well thought out.
Overwatch had an affair with WoT and passed down only the good genes. Pure, distilled, no-bulls**t tank shooter.
Great, arcadey tank game without the toxic chat in other titles. Tanks are sci-fi so have weird abilities, for example a teleporting tank, a flying tank as well as great brawlers and snipers as you would expect. Early access, but plays smooth and has an easy to figure tech tree. A great tank game to hop in and let off some steam.
