Esse jogo me fez entender o valor do auto save....
games pretty good
The game is exactly what the description says it is, so if that sounds good to you then go for it. It definitely kinda has game jam vibes, or like an old shareware game, but I don't mean that as a negative. If you want to wear a cool hat and type a bunch of facts about fish, you've come to the right place.
really like playing this game, should play it some more to max out my character. would recomend
Type 'n' Fish is a relaxing educational indie game developed and published by CapCat that transforms typing practice into a cozy fishing adventure. Instead of presenting keyboard exercises through traditional lessons and repetitive drills, the game wraps learning inside a charming collection-based experience where every correct keystroke helps players reel in aquatic creatures. By combining casual gameplay with skill development, it creates an experience that is both entertaining and surprisingly effective as a typing tool. The game's central idea is remarkably simple yet highly appealing. Players cast their fishing line into peaceful waters and must correctly type the words presented on screen to catch fish. Every successful entry results in a catch, turning typing accuracy and speed into the equivalent of fishing skill. This concept immediately gives the game an engaging hook because players are constantly rewarded for improving their performance. Instead of focusing solely on scores or statistics, the game ties progress to discovery and collection, making the learning process feel much more natural. One of the most impressive aspects of Type 'n' Fish is how seamlessly it integrates education into its gameplay. Many typing games struggle to maintain player interest because they prioritize instruction over entertainment. Here, the developers take the opposite approach. Fishing becomes the primary activity, while typing serves as the tool required to participate. As a result, players often find themselves practicing keyboard skills without feeling as though they are completing lessons. The educational benefits emerge organically through repeated play rather than through direct instruction. The collection aspect provides a strong sense of motivation. Every fishing session presents the possibility of discovering a new species, and the desire to expand one's collection encourages continued play. This system transforms what could have been a simple typing exercise into a rewarding progression loop. Players become curious about what fish they might encounter next, creating an incentive to keep improving their typing abilities and spending more time exploring the game's aquatic environments. Another strength lies in the gradual progression of difficulty. The game introduces its mechanics in a welcoming manner, allowing newcomers to become comfortable with the controls and typing requirements. Early words tend to be manageable, helping build confidence before more challenging tasks appear. As players advance, they encounter increasingly demanding typing challenges that require greater speed and precision. This steady difficulty curve ensures that the experience remains engaging for both beginners and more experienced typists. The educational component extends beyond keyboard practice. Each fish species includes descriptive information that adds an informative element to the collection process. These entries give players a reason to appreciate their catches beyond simply adding another item to a checklist. The result is a light educational layer that complements the typing mechanics without disrupting the game's relaxed pace. It adds personality to the creatures and makes the world feel more interesting and alive. Visually, Type 'n' Fish embraces a colorful and inviting presentation. The art style is cheerful and approachable, featuring charming fish designs and pleasant environments that reinforce the game's relaxing atmosphere. Rather than relying on elaborate visual effects, the game focuses on creating a comfortable setting where players can enjoy the experience at their own pace. The simple yet attractive presentation works perfectly for the game's target audience and contributes significantly to its cozy appeal. Sound design also deserves recognition. The gentle music and calming audio effects help establish a peaceful environment that encourages concentration. Unlike many educational titles that can feel sterile or mechanical, Type 'n' Fish creates a genuinely relaxing mood. The soothing soundtrack complements the fishing theme and helps transform each session into a low-pressure experience where players can focus on improvement without feeling stressed. Accessibility is another area where the game performs well. The controls are intuitive, the objectives are easy to understand, and the gameplay loop is immediately recognizable. Younger players can use the game as a fun introduction to typing, while adults may appreciate it as a casual way to maintain or improve their keyboard skills. This broad appeal allows the game to function both as an educational tool and as a relaxing pastime. What truly makes Type 'n' Fish stand out is its ability to make progress feel rewarding. Improvement is reflected not only in faster typing speeds but also in a growing collection of fish and increased familiarity with the game's systems. Every session offers visible evidence of advancement, creating a satisfying feedback loop that encourages players to continue practicing. The combination of learning and collection creates a surprisingly addictive structure that remains engaging over time. Type 'n' Fish succeeds because it understands that education and entertainment do not have to be separate experiences. By turning typing into an integral part of a charming fishing adventure, it creates a game that is both enjoyable and beneficial. The relaxing atmosphere, collectible creatures, steady progression, and accessible design work together to deliver an experience that appeals to players of all ages. For anyone looking for a wholesome and low-pressure game that encourages skill development while remaining genuinely fun, Type 'n' Fish is an excellent choice. It transforms a practical activity into an enjoyable hobby and proves that learning can be just as rewarding as traditional gameplay when presented with creativity and care. Rating: 5/10
The good: it's cheap it teaches typing including spaces and some punctuation (so far) the texts are long and sensible, rather than a series of random words like most typing games Some of the info is interesting, the first time you read it Upgradeable stats and gear is theoretically nice, but see about the grind below... The bad: The further you progress, the longer you have to wait for your line to cast out 80 billion miles into the ocean, for EVERY. DAMN. FISH. Each tier of fish has ~5 different species, and ~2~3 writeups for each, so you see/type the same ones all the time. Worst of all, you have to grind SO MUCH to earn enough money to progress to the next tier. Currently in the 51-60 strength tier grinding to save up $20,000 for the 61+ tier I'm getting sick of this. Barely gets a positive rating. Edit: I kept playing and the numbers are just WRONG, just upgrade Strength as efficiently as you can and its doable. I went all the way to the end including getting the endboss, but there are 2 "mystery achievements" I don't plan to look for.
