Cool story, interesting characters. The art is fantastic, and the music & sound are spot on. I was sucked in right away. There are several scenes that i would buy the framed artwork for, especially the Bigfoot :)
this is such a lovely game and story with good sound effects, music and really cute art syle!
Loved this choose your own adventure style visual novel! The artwork, story telling, and music made for a very immersive experience. I really liked the real ties to processing grief that you had to think about and process, along with the occasional dark humor and unexpected hilarity.
This is a fun story game with a creepy theme - great timing right before Halloween. The artwork is cool and the sound is really well done.
A cozy little journey, just in time for fall! Feels like those nostalgic hometown mysteries that filled the nights of my youth.
OHHH MY GOD GUYS!!! okay so. so like. I'm gonna scream, right. Not only is all of the art so beautiful, the character connections feel GENUINELY meaningful, and all of the interactions add so much to the story. The writing is well-done, a lot of different options contain different meanings for the reader and hold intrapersonal definition, and it is just so well-done that I played endings over and over just to figure out what I wanted to do. What a beautiful game. What a beautiful interpretation of grief and death. It's clear that the player is supposed to project the internal twin relationship onto outside objects and I love the way the endings tie together whichever way you play them. I did the "good" (heartfelt) ending first, and it told me so much about the game as I developed Callie's character - which made the "bad" (adventurous) ending feel so much more intense, as I could recognize where everything was going wrong and what exactly was happening. When I went back and played it the other way around, it was so similar that I almost cried!! Genuinely, it was a well-written game, and even though there were NO jumpscares, the clear tension in the bad ending had me genuinely RAVING to my friends about this. If you like visual novels, if you hate AI, if you enjoy writing and amazing conflict - I would say that this game is for you. The horror aspects can be chosen, and I truly love how intuitive the game is.
This is a gorgeous, spooky game! Loved every minute of it! It has a lot of replay value, as you navigate your way through the story. The interactions between the characters are fantastic, and the story itself is spooky. I played part of it with my somewhat jaded 14-year-old, and his verdict was: "This is pretty addictive." There was one jump scare that spooked us both. The art is lovely made and that alone is worth the price. The sound design is killer, and the various directions the story can take you hold more than a few surprises. Loved it and will definitely play again to uncover more of the story.
I truly enjoyed the heartfelt interactive portion of this game! It was unexpected and touching to me as someone who has lost several family members and friends. Of course, I'm a sucker for scary and mysterious stories, too! It's a perfect combo, and I was excited to see just what would happen next. The conversations between characters is totally relatable and sometimes pretty funny which added to its appeal. It's fun to play through different scenarios, and I'm looking forward to going back to explore paths I haven't yet taken. The handmade artwork is stunning! Together with the awesome soundtrack, it really engages you and draws you into the creepy surroundings of the haunted forest. I recommend playing the game with lights out to truly immerse yourself while playing. I definitely recommend this game, and I'm looking forward to future games from this talented new developer.
Such a fun game! the story and the art and the music! Friggin love it! Definitely recommend it!
Rather powerful, not going to lie. Love the characters, they are well done, even with the short playtime.
