Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Well, this is an odd game to review. First of all, it has no real reviews (from someone who actually bought it). I saw it on sale for $2.99 USD during the Steam Winter 2018 sale and said, eh, why not? What I didn't know is that it really isn't a soccer game per se, it's a collection of mini-games inspired by soccer or as the rest of the world calls it, football. The really weird thing is that for the most part, you're using your hands (touch controllers) as feet .... really small feet. The soccer ball is huge compared to those tiny feet you have.
You know what they say about a guy with small feet, right?
The whole thing started in Polish or was it Russian? It also took a very long time to load (on intial start up only). But then it automatically switched to English ... nice. The menu UI was interesting. You kick things (with your tiny feet) to select what mini-game or option you want. The mini-games were: 1) Striker - basically you kick the ball into the goal in different free penalty kick scenarios 2) Replay - you also kick the ball into the goal, but this time in different game-scenarios (much harder than #1) 3) Goalkeeper - yeah, you stop the ball from getting into the goal and you actually use your hands as hands! 4) Pinball - my favorite, you use your hands as feet as flippers inside a pinball machine ... in essence you're the flippers Other than the initial start up, I experienced zero issues. Graphics were better than most other soccer games I have played. Stadiums were nicely done. Game ran smoothly for me for the most part. The gameplay was very different. I've never played a game where you use your motion controllers as feet and according to the devs you can strap your motion controllers to your feet for added realism. It's just weird and something you'll have to get used to. I soon realized that I had to lift my motion controller above the ground before starting the kick motion or I'd launch the soccer ball way up in the air. So there's a lot of challenge just trying to kick the ball where you want it to go. I loved the pinball. That was by far the best mini-game. I wish it had been more fleshed out though. I would have loved to seen a multi-ball twist and also for my feet to be bigger and / or a slow time ability. It's very hard to be the flipper when your feet are so tiny
TWSS
Sale Price Rating 6.5/10. I think it's a good deal for $3 bucks. I probably woudln't play full price (unless they expanded on the pinball mini-game, that game may be worth $10 alone if they made some updates to that)
Turbo Soccer VR is a small but fun arcade style soccer goalkeeper or striker simulator. There is also a replay mode where you can try your hand at some trickier plays. It's not a game where you play a full soccer match, it's only the striker and goalkeeper mode (and the replay mode) but as long as you are aware of that you should enjoy the game like I did. You can play as or against your favoruite team and if you make a perfect round you unlock their colours for your avatar. For the striker mode you can either use Hive Trackers on your feet or strap your Vive controllers to your feet. I tried it the latter in the video for a brief period to show you the game mode but because I didn't strap them on properly I just wound up using my hands with the controlls set to foot mode in the options to demonstrait it. It appears that the size of the goals in goalkeeper mode are dependant on your VR area so bigger is best but I used it in a smaller area and still had a great time. This is obvously done for safety. Be warned it's easy to swing a leg or an arm and hit something in the real world if you don't give yourself enough room in a game like this, it can get quite active. It has also just been released for the Oculus and a PinBall mode was anounced but it hasn't been rolled out yet so I couldn't show it to you. Ultimatly is's quite a fun game that's being offered for a great price, $10 ATM, but it is quite short so the pinball mode will be a welcome adition. I completed the goalkeeper mode, not to a 5/5 standars but a 3/5 pass standard in my video and demo'd striked mode so take a look to see what it has to offer.... https://youtu.be/hd0DotkT8-8 video index.. 00:00:49 -- The different setups for your Vive controllers. 00:01:25 -- I play thgrough all of Goalkeeper mode. 26:44:00 -- replay mode, I show you the menu to see what is offers but don't play it. 29:14:00 -- I set it to foot mode and briefly try Striker mode. Pinball mode--not there yet?? Thanks for watching, please like, subscribe and comment.

to say the least, i refunded it within 20 minutes. this game is very buggy, the ball physics are quite weird, and the shooting is terrible. has potential, but not worth buying it for $12. maybe $5 but even that's stretching it.

Feels very low budget compared to Final Soccer. Can't play shooting mode without Vive trackers. My feet are on the ground not moving.
I think this is a wonderful little game and a good start toward really fun VR sports. A warning, however. The goalie game is very fun, but it needs a WIDE play area. The goal mouth covers the entire width of my play area and thus I am going to dive for a ball and hurt a hand. Get this, it is a bargain at the price. Just make sure you have plenty of space to block penalty shots!
