Challenging platformer experience with great style and polish. Try the demo.
nice nice! cool new sytyle moves! and yes... it IS tough!! thanks a lot for that :D
Be quick, think ahead. And enjoy the wonderful style of Turbo Shell. A great little indie game gem! <3
A really polished, fun, and challenging game with unique movement mechanics. It feels really polished, and you should give it a tryif you like fast, skill-based platformers. Pros: - Very crisp and responsive controls. - Awesome music. - Clean and beautiful graphics. - Skill-based gameplay, not luck-based. Once you master a level, you can do it fairly consistently. - Every death feels like "I can do this better", not unfair. - Impressive replays of all your 100+ deaths at once, when you finally finish a level. - Eggxtra characters to unlock. - Eggceptionally eggcelent puns. Subjective: - It's bloody hard, but I guess you knew that already. And you will get better at it, which feels awesome. - Sometimes you have to take a break after dying over 9000 times to avoid smashing your controller into your screen. Cons: - There is no kids-friendly mode with fewer or non-lethal obstacles* * I guess it would be tough to balance a dedicated "kids mode" up to the level of polish of the rest of the game, and the devs have to prioritize to get anything done. On the other hand, kids don't much care about balance, they just want to have fun.
Great game with a great old school synth soundtrack! Perfect for anyone who loves to beat highscores! (Try to beat my Level 1 OG highscore if you can!)
(a german review below) A different plattformer with a simple jump idea. Gives the player a 360° freedom movement. In the first stages it seemes, that you don't understand this freedom of movement, but after a short while, you always want to highscore your best times to make it even better...and better. The speed of the movement is incredible and it can be, that you are playing in this tunnel mode not wanting to stop. (Alice Wonderland Mode it is called i guess - going deeper and deeper in this rabbid hole) The last time i was in this rabbid hole of playoing, was in Celeste, one of my favorite plattformer. Within one hour and shorter, you goal the first episode and you want to go further. 82 Stages during 4 episodes (and one big extra episode) with 4 themes (graphics and barriers). I think especially pro plattform players are gonna love this different idea of speed movement. (I will test it with youth players to proof, at which age it is playable and handable.) The look of the game is simple, but effectfully. It could be offered in the arcades during the 80s or 90s. The music and the lights are smart. It cannot stress you for playing it longer and you will play it longer to reach your goals. Because of the fine programming and the exactly commands in movements i could repeat and repeat the same level over 20 times to play it better from the try before (just like in Celeste). So it doesn't stress you (in my opinion), if you aren't reaching the goal of a stage by far. Althought i am failing and failing, i immediately want to make it better. Perhaps a new frontier of speed playing in a plattformer. Simple but genious idea. Play the demo version, if you want to get a feeling about the speed of this new movements in a plattformer.
I'm not good in platformer games, and this is a hard one :-D Also the style, music and gameplay are really nice.
Super game! Very good grafic and a good idea. Sometimes the levels are a little bit harder but that let´s you play it longer to finaly make it. Sometimes a little bit bigger vision would be better but overall a great and funny game. Wanna see more. ;D
Solid, challenging platforming gameplay with great visuals and a BANGER soundtrack!
